  1. They are really scraping the barrel for sh*te to put on TV these days.
  2. The Waggon & Horses at Millhouses is decent. We hired out one side of the pub for my nan's wake last year. It seems like they cater for all occasions. https://www.thewaggonsheffield.co.uk/parties/
  3. It seems to be a prerequisite that news of any development has to have the word 'vibrant' in it these days.
  4. I think we need to get tough and have a massive clampdown on crime and disorder, but I don't agree with the death penalty. Would you really trust the government and judicial system in this country to get it right? I wouldn't.
  5. You do realise Wednesday give away loads of free tickets too? I used to go to Hillsborough on free tickets from school when I was too young to go to United away games.
  6. If you supposedly have more fans than us, remind me when you last had an average attendance higher than ours?
  7. You can see the number on the back of his shirt. The ball went over his head and it was headed onto him from behind.
  8. He wasn't facing the ball. He had his back to it when Vini Souza headed the ball into him from a yard away. Cowardice.
  9. The rules now are ridiculous. How can you give a penalty when someone is facing in the opposite direction and the ball hits their arm from a yard away? Just go back to how it was before, and only give a penalty when there's a deliberate arm movement towards the ball.
  10. Neither of which play in Sheffield. One plays in Dronfield and the other plays in south Barnsley.
  11. Good stuff from the Blades. Luton had plenty of the ball but looked clueless when they got near our box and couldn't break us down. Although he gave away a penalty I thought Vini Souza was brilliant.
  12. What were you saying mate? 😂
  13. This will achieve absolutely nothing except line the pockets of the individuals who have come up with it. What exactly is an "anti-racist city"? You're always going to have a handful of morons who say racist things, and schemes like this won't change that.
  14. Did you used to walk 15 miles backwards to get there too?
  15. I agree. I've often thought the same about drugs in terms of taking power away from drug dealers and organised crime. So many people seem to smoke cannabis now. It woud make more sense to sell it in approved places like in Amsterdam. It would create tax revenue, take money away from scumbags and people know they are buying safer stuff.
  16. Didn't they used to hang around Kelham Island and Neepsend? Makes you wonder if the gentrification around there has forced them out.
  17. I'm starting to wonder how strictly these rules are enforced. Through my work I've seen a lot of people's documents and bank statements etc. I've seen multiple people receiving a State Pension when they've been in the country for less than 10 years.
  18. It's just never going to work with Manchester and East Midlands close by, which is why Sheffield airport and Doncaster-Sheffield have both closed down. I live in south west Sheffield and don't drive. It's probably quicker for me to get a train from Dore to Manchester airport than it is to get to Doncaster-Sheffield.
  19. This is new information which has come to light in the last day or so. https://www.itv.com/news/calendar/2024-02-02/blades-women-head-coach-sacked-over-conduct-before-joining https://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-13040751/Maddy-Cusack-former-coach-Jonathan-Morgan-secret-three-year-relationship-teenage-players-Snapchat-chocolate-Nandos-predatory-behaviour-Sheffield-United-Leicester.html
  20. Apparently he had a relationship with a former player he was managing.
  21. I think a lot of the properties are reasonably new and were built in the late 90s. The area has been spruced up but some of the issues remain with gangs etc. Similar to Moss Side in Manchester, although obviously not as bad.
  22. Just so you're aware, the little housing estate immediately to the south of West One Panorama around Broom Walk can be a bit iffy at times, and there's sometimes muggings etc. I once spent the night at a mate's house there and people were trying his door handles and all sorts.
  23. I can't say I'm surprised. I don't think she's struggling for money as I once saw her in Sainsbury's at Archer Road buying a load of steaks! They are organised begging gangs mate. They drop loads of women off in different places and pick them up at the end of the day and pool the money. They've also taken over the selling of the Big Issue magazine. They buy them all up before the genuine homeless can get a look in.
