If someone makes a poor choice they end up with two children. Or even three children. Children having children. Just because someone had 18th birthday doesn't mean they are grown adults. Like in any other case common sense is required and quite often missing. Cycling on pavement might be illegal but so is dying in the houses of parliament. Just because there is a law doesn't mean it makes sense or anyone enforces it. Whenever I cycle on 40+ limit road that has a wide pavement with no or very few pedestrians I call it cycle path or shared space. As in any shared space common sense and common courtesy is necessary. I would not go on a pavement in busy city centre. Whenever possible I overtake cyclists giving them loads of space. If it is not doable in any foreseeable future I give them less then legal but more them enough space. Those are usually leisure cyclists doing 5mph in inconsiderate but legal way. Sometimes road is not wide enough to give those muppets legal space. I would not do that to a child overseen by adult on a bike. But I don't see those on main roads as they tend to be aware they are a nuisance and its dangerous. Plenty of them on my estate but we seem to get along fine. I cycled behind cop on a bike on pavement, I cycled on pavement next to cops on foot and noone ever saw anything wrong with it. But common sense was applied each time. If anyone needs some more of that I suggest walking some more and riding a bike some to get perspective.

White goods are usually manufactured in whole or in major components by massive factories. All different brands come out of few assembly lines in eastern Europe. Some manufacturers assemble their own products, but they buy major components outside. So you never know what you buy. It says Bosch but it can be motor from Romania, steel parts from Poland and electronics from China assembled in factory that isn't even owned by Bosch. Same badge on power tools or phones does not mean same quality on products made in different factory by different people using different process.
