They play a mix of 'Good Time' Classic Rock songs along with a few of their own mixed in. The band are a 'Digital Free Zone', playing Vintage Guitars through old Valve Amps. Classic rock at it's very best. 9.30pm, free entry Saturday 25th November: Black Sails Yaaaarrrr! In just a very short space of time, Black Sails have become one of Sheffield's premier rock bands. This time he'll be accompanied by the, Fret-King and Vintage Guitar endorsed,amazing Tom Kilner and the equally fantastic Simon Freeston from the likes of The Snip, The Paddy Maguire Band and The Kahunas. They now play what they consider to be intelligent heavy metal that still takes a leaning towards classic rock. Influences now come from the tastes of all members of the band and they have developed a heavier style that retains melodic quality and a more modern sound than their early work. A small and intimate gig for a band of their stature, do not miss out. 9.30pm, free entry. Saturday 11th November: Fahrenheit Born from the urge to play something different, yet instantly recognisable, their aim isn't to keep the audience waiting for what they want hear until the end of the night but to hit them with the anthems from the word go. Yes, we know it's a school night but we thought we'd do something a bit different with our chums from Bones Park Rider. Grab yer cowboy hat and come along for the ride The name Banjo Jen was coined by new friends when Jen moved to Sheffield in 2015, bringing along her banjo to jam at Café #9 with Texan songwriter Ash Gray. After joining Ash as part of the alternative bluegrass / country trio ‘Something the Dog Dragged In', Jen began to perform her own original solo material in 2016. Highlights so far have included performing in Austin Texas during SXSW 2017 at Pete Fest and at the world-famous Threadgill's bar.
