Saturday 8th September: The Lost Days The Lost Days are a hard rock band from Worksop UK formed in mid-2015. Their hard rock sound takes influence from and is compared to the likes of Metallica, Guns N' Roses, AC/DC and Mötley Crüe blending elements of classic and hard-rock with a modern flourish. Between May 2015 and December 2017, The Lost Days performed over 200 shows, including the main stage of Septemberfest at Donington Park, alongside Razorlight and Reef. Expect traditional, expect contemporary, expect the unexpected! Each month features a guest artist and this time it's the turn of Henry Parker. With a sound rooted in the haze of the English folk revival, Henry takes up a style crafted by players such as Bert Jansch and Nick Drake in the 1960’s and early 70’s. While his songs and tunes arrive either worked from his own hand, or are borrowed and developed from the traditional British folk cannon. Full backline and P.A. provided, come watch or join in. 8.30pm, free entry Friday 6th July: Schaeffer Schaeffer started life in the mid 1980’s as a reflection of the move rock music was making from NWOBHM to a more ‘glam’ / ‘pop’ style of more accessible music They played a mixture of original material and pop rock covers from the charts at the time. After some local success playing around the north of England and through various lineup changes they called it a day in 1992. Since this time all band have had various other projects, many with some success. In 2017 Mark and Harris decided that some of the old original material was worthy of a reboot and gathered a group of top musos from local bands to help reform Schaeffer. Get ready! 9.30pm, free entry. Saturday 7th July: Metropolis Metröpolis are a 4 piece classic rock band from Sheffield, UK - playing original material and their own spin on classic-rock songs. White Lion has live music every Tuesday,Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday afternoon. We also have jazz every third Monday. In addition to the 8/9 real ale pumps, we have a cider pump and then sell Amstel, Cobra, Shipyard and Carling alongside a selection of bottles. The bus stop directly opposite the pub is well serviced and you can get the last one into town (or further) around midnight.

Mission accomplished! We had a road trip to Herts yesterday and brought back with us a mint condition bar billiards table. We got it installed and ready for opening today and it's been unbelievably well received by all! Thanks everyone for your help and suggestions.
