  1. Thanks ba and Fiat. This forum is great.Lots of leads for me to get started with.
  2. Thanks Moirahyde , does that mean they probably moved from there? These do sound like her parents though.
  3. We are desperately trying to find Janet Bower ( maiden name) who was born in 1966/67 in Sheffield. She lived in Loxley, and went to Wisewood Secondary School , Sheffield and would have left approximately in 1985/86 .She then went to Cambridge University to study as a vet, and met her husband David there. She married him soon after , we think at St Polycarps church, Malin Bridge , Sheffield. Her parents were called Gerry and Shirley. We heard she qualified as a vet and went to live down in Devon or Cornwall. Unfortunately it’s been difficult to trace her we don’t know her married name. We do know that her husband David was from Leeds West Yorkshire. Fingers crossed someone can start us on the right path with this search. Thanks for looking..........
  4. My mate bought his council house but both his neighbours either side live in council properties. One of his neighbours has just had a new roof done by the council and they have done a poor job on the roof, causing problems for my mate. Who should he contact to complain about the shoddy repairs and the damage it's causing to his property ? Most unfair really as he has maintained his own property.... I wondered if he needed to ring council office or find out which contractor council were using to repair/replace the roofs..... . Cheers...
  5. Hi please advise on below :- A. Can anyone recommend any good physio place where my friend may get some physio or hydrotherapy? Someone has suggested a walker or a rollator.can anyone suggest which is best & best place to buy or hire one ? Thanks for looking..

Quality workmanship and a decent guy.He can turn his hand to anything. Thanks Jeff..... Tel: Jeff : 07861379796

  9. ditto to that.Talk talk had a bad reputation but on the whole have rectified that, me thinks. its always easy to talk to someone with any problems. No problems at all today....
  10. Ive just started doing soups.I cant believe how tasty but more importantly how easy they are to make.My favourites so far are vegetable , chuck everything in, potato & leek, carrot & coriander and best of all cauli & stilton and even better spicy red lentil soup. All very tasty.I encourage anyone to give it ago.You only need a cheap blender. Iiprefer the one with a jug not a hand blender.
  11. Its difficult to trust people these days, even more so those coming to your door.some are genuine, but others are deceiving and trying to get inside to take advantage.I do feel sorry for those people trying to make an honest buck tho !
  12. I want to sort out a will for me and my long term partner, im sure we should do it soon, as not being married creates problems. Can we also get power of attourney aranged for each other although, not married ?
  13. There are many immigration problems all over the uk, not just sheffield. We shouldnt be arguing amongst ourselves but blaming the government. They set the rules decide on laws, promise us the earth and when in power mess everything up. The uk needs to sort itself out before putting others first. Please sort out unemployment, nhs, education and housing.
  14. I agree this is a very distressing and sick act to happen in this day and age. It is so sad that vulnerable people dont get help and better treated.Thankfully those at fault in this case have now been held accountable for their actions. It is not for anyone to judge about the Kinsella family. We all need to take lessons from this horrible incident, and hopefully move forward...
