  1. Thanks all for the feedback :-) With the first one, my tripod was fully extend so couldn't get the height I wanted and once I looked at it back home I couldn't save the dark areas on the left so tried to make the best of it I could. With the third picture it's not meant to look realistic, as stated above I was playing around using a filter to get that effect and wanted to see the comparison against the more natural blue's of the water. I mainly stick to B&W with my pictures but thought I'd try something a bit surreal for a change :-) It's all down to personal preference though!
  2. A few shots from this afternoon at Ladybower, feedback welcomed! Andy
  3. personally I'd crop the second shot into the first player in the white kit to emphasise the ball handler and ruck but great set :-)
  4. Thanks very much :-) With regards to the converging lines, I know its not to everyones taste and that it doesn't give an accurate representation of real life, but I quite like the drama added by them. This is why I tend to shoot wide angle from quite low down :-)
  5. Haha I went through a stage of watermarking early on then quickly realised that I post my images all over the internet because I want people to see them, not for any commercial benefit! Thanks again though, only been getting into it the past 12 months but completely fallen for it!
  6. Hi there! Being brand new to Sheffield Forum, I thought I would use this section to introduce myself as I imagine this being where the majority of my posts are made! I'm Andy, I'm from just outside Wentworth and a keen amateur photographer, with Sheffield being the subject of the majority of my work. here is a link to my Flickr account and there are a few examples below. I love shooting anything from landscapes to street art and everything in between. I am always wanting to learn and happy to receive any feedback :-) Andy
  7. I have the same lens (although Nikon fit ;-) and it's a phenomenal lens, would be perfect for what it sounds like you have in mind. Maybe hiring equipment would be a cheaper short-term option? Andy
  8. Aside from courses and club meetings, just online you can find lots of support and advice, I am an administrator of a group on Facebook called Northern Monkeys Photography - here and also strongly recommend the group Strictly Yorkshire - here You can always find advice, support and feedback on both of those and many others :-) Andy
  9. Only a small treat but upgraded to a Manfrotto tripod and could tell the difference just by setting it up!
  10. I went to York Designer Outlet and in the Ralph Lauren factory shop got £350's worth of stuff for £140, even in factory shop it had previously been £215 so well happy with it :-)
