  1. I was there with my brother Chris. Miss Foot was a sweet little head teacher, who kept us happy and busy! I was there around 1960/1, and often think about my friends there, and the extra~curricular activities we had. Lovely days! Heather Sidery
  2. I was born in '53, was at the school around 1961~'63
  3. Aye.. Gossegogs. ---------- Post added 05-01-2015 at 13:51 ---------- Ah meant: goosegogs...
  4. Yum Yum Pig's Bum ( crikey! where did that one come from???!?) ---------- Post added 04-01-2015 at 19:35 ---------- Polish it Behind the door.... ( Oh! Dear! Another horrible one from Carter Knowle in 1960!)
  5. Little birdie, flyin high, Drops a message , from the sky. Says I as I wipes my eye... "'Tis glad I am that cows don't fly"
  6. No I don't remember Brandy. I was a seatcover with The Rat tho' ! Lol! I'm trying to recall names from then...
  7. I was a boarder at Miss Foot's school. There were eight of us in Miss Foot's class, including Mrs Staves who also taught the class! I remember the girls wore school caps like the boys.. so cool! We had straw boaters for summer. Maroon and silver uniform. After homework, Miss Foot read us a story while we had supper. There was a woman who cooked and did laundry for us called "Ward". She wore a very theatrical Victorian maids uniform! In the middle of one night around 1960 the Great Sheffield Gale struck, and we thought the world had come to an end ~ the racket outside... our roof partially slipped off, bins crashed about in the back, trees ripped out etc... then my little brother in the bed across from me started sleep-walking around the room. Surreal. I liked it there. Muss Foot resembled Queen Victoria! She'd give us all a little peck on the cheek as she tucked us up nicely each night... she really was a sweet lady. My dear Mum couldn't afford the fees so we had to leave eventually... then I went to Carter Knowle Primary ~^*Â¥!?! ---------- Post added 05-01-2015 at 14:00 ---------- I would like to get in touch with schoolmates from Miss Foot's school, but don't want to put names up without their say~so, so if you went to this school, I'm Heather Sidery! Gerrin touch!!! X
  8. I played keyboards in Big Mama Blues Band, & one night, gigging in the Bull & Mouth on Attercliffe Rd, Joe Cocker came swinging in through the saloon doors, Xmas 1971. The place erupted.. He came up & sang with us. Then after a few pints later on he invited us back to where he was staying at the time (his auntie's house on Abbeyfield Rd. His auntie was on holiday). That was it! He knew our drummer Kenny Slade well. Just a nice chatty evening listening to music!
  9. I taught a lovely year 2 class in Lydgate Lane Primary 1989 -'92... Some great kids and staff! It was when the National Curriculum was setting in and we were like headless chickens!!! Mytherin'! Thank goodness we had a sense of humour..
  10. I would like to get in touch with Anthony Hirst, from 1971...a great person and Blues musician. I'd really like to know if he is still making music.
