  1. That is truly awful. I wonder how many just dont want to pay, and how many are genuinely needy?
  2. Thank you for that Mike. I must admit that I was a little unwilling to read your link, after the Mayans let us down so badly, but I did and found it very informative. Lets just make the most of the time we have old friend!
  3. I remember the ZX81, which I bought for my daughter many years ago. I still wouldn't know how to use it now! In fact, its still in the loft as I remember seeing it there a few years back. How technology has progressed!
  4. Have a look at Jollyes ont cliffe? They do various brands, inc Bob Martins. Not too bad on their prices either.
  5. I think we can count our blessings, as his son Wills is a fine young man who seems to be more connected to us ordinary folk. We all used to laugh at Prince Philips gaffs, and still do, but with a bit of luck, Charlie will denounce his throne rights, and pass it straight to his son. Good gracious, do I sound like a Royalist? heh heh
  6. It wouldn't have occurred to him then. It wasn't in his interest, not that he cared anyhow!
  7. Its a good job you pressed the "L" button while typing tilt.
  8. I have now joined the copy and paste brigade. If you think bamboo towels are slightly weird, have a look at this bamboo based product that sounds a little odd.....http://www.marketingweek.co.uk/news/andrex-rolls-out-bamboo-toilet-tissue/4000724.article
  9. That makes sense. I cant be 100% certain, but im sure they charge a bit more at palces like airports/services for meals. That would also explain why.
  10. Really good thread! It does make you wonder what would have happened without it, I expect we would be in the pub talking instead of tweeting or snip chatting. Its a great tool, if used properly, I think!
  11. mmm, I really do hate to be cynical, but that is strange, isnt it:suspect:
  12. They may well be trying to re-inflate the property bubble in order for folk to once again think they have made a mint, borrow against it, spend spend spend, and this will make things look rosy again for a few years, but what goes around comes back and bites very hard on the bottom. Is it a Tory/Labour/Dim Libs thing to help them win votes at the General Election?? It certainly wouldn't harm them if things did pick up, its just we've all been there and know the shortcomings of it.
  13. Some of the service stations on the motorways wont accept them, as i,ve found to my despair taking the grand-kids there. I don't know why!
  14. I think this is a marvelous piece of advice, and shall definitely look into this. Thank you:)
  15. I assumed we were discussing the possibilities of push-iron/mobility scooter insurance and training, with a view to appeasing everyone, including the anti-cyclists and pedestrians. Its clear the tax/mot view is nonsensical but any relevant training and third party cover must surely be welcomed by all parties across the board. ---------- Post added 15-10-2013 at 22:58 ---------- That is an excellent addition to a policy. Well done for bringing it to attention:)
