  1. Hi, just to let everyone know that this Sheffield song appears on our just-released debut album, Beneath your city; as you dream… The album has many Sheffield references in the songs and the front cover photo is from just off Hickmott Road - see if you recognise where! CDs are just £6 from our website. It will also soon be on sale in Record Collector and is available from all the usual download stores: https://robberie.com/releases/beneath-your-city-as-you-dream/
  2. We have a couple of local gigs coming up where you can hear our Sheffield song! Saturday 7 November, The Doctor's Orders, Glossop Road with The Bobby Pins and Sophie Anna Saturday 28 November, The Rutland Arms in town with Kriss Foster, Francesca Word Salad and Alexander Christopher Hale More info here: http://robberie.com/live/
  3. Thank you gregnig. We found out that Steve Lamacq played our song on BBC 6 Music last week, which we were really chuffed with! I think he has a soft spot for Sheffield.
  4. The Sheffield song now has a video! Spot the city locations... It's also now on iTunes, Spotify etc: http://robberie.com/releases/seven-hills-single/
  5. My band Robberie have written a song about Sheffield and would love to know what Sheffield Forum folk think of it. It's called Seven hills and we're releasing it on 10 September. We were out shooting a video today on the hills of the city in the rain which will hopefully be ready soon. We're celebrating the song's release with a free launch party upstairs at the Rutland Arms pub in town on 10 September. Have a listen and see what you think! https://robberie.bandcamp.com/album/seven-hills-single
  6. Sounds like it was an armed mugging. More info here: http://crosspool.info/2014/06/22/calver-fields-armed-mugging-crosspool-teenagers-reminded-to-be-vigilant/
  7. Have they just changed this? I heard it on Saturday and I wondered what it was for a minute. I'm sure it sounds different - louder and possible more shrill.
  8. The Forum is part of a different chain to Graze Inn. Graze Inn is Brewkitchen.
  9. Roger Phillips wasn't it? More info here: http://sheffieldblog.com/2008/05/27/hallam-fm-radio-phone-ins-in-the-1990s/
  10. Pagets Builders Merchants on Broadfield Road do them: http://www.pagets.co.uk/
  11. I like Thornbridge pubs but they should stick to taking over and revamping poor and struggling pubs. There's nothing wrong with The Bath Hotel at the moment - it doesn't need fixing.
  12. The police have issued a statement about this: http://crosspool.info/2012/03/24/police-statement-about-incident-in-crosspool-earlier-today/
