is there anywhere in the north of sheffield (i live in grenoside ) where i can play social tennis-i think i'm reasonable at it but would like to play more regularly

why not ring the head of year or deputy head for an answer and ask if there will be a parents meeting where you can become part of the decision - surely as "stakeholders" ( i do hate that term) you could be involved!

i've finally grown some tomatoes that look as if they will ripen- are you supposed to cut off the leaves so they can get more sunlight to help them ripen?

as a teacher who has been through the ofsted mill at least 5 times and been through a"notice to improve"phase-you feel sometimes that they arrive with pre-conceptions and set out to prove it- a poor report doesn't necessarily mean the children will suffer- though at Grenoside i did hear dark rumblings from teachers about the senior management!
