  1. As I have East Europeans in my family I found it quite nice when I went today. I thought the pancakes were really nice. They hope to expand into other kinds of food i.e Borsht (beetroot soup) It was really refreshing and relaxing place and the people were really friendly. I'd advise everyone on the Forum to go there instead of Costa 'Rip of big brand corporation' as it would help a small buisness support, and also provide somewhere for the Russian population of Sheffield to meet. I certainly will be going again!
  2. I was in town the other day and on one of the statues outside the Cathedral mentioned a local Mt Sheffield. Does this place actually exist???
  3. Thats odd that is. For us who live in Stannington the 82 is the bain of our lives, as that comes ever 5 minutes or so, but stops just short of Stannington, while we have to wait for the 83 service which is supposed to be every 15 minutes but never turns up. Many a time your waiting at the bus stop and four 82 busses (two of them double deckers) will go by before you get an 83!!!
  4. What a ridiculous notion. The Saddle used to be a fairly quiet bar. Is there no end to the path of destruction left by men intent on turning every quiet pub into a loud, vodka swilling, Aftershock soaked palace of excess!! Whats going to go next?
  5. I've felt that the kop band should be banned from Hillsborough. No offence but I have always thought that the band could be a major distraction for the Wednesday players.
  6. Being of Polish descent all I can say is yummy yum yum yummy!!! Bought loads of smoked Garlic, have already used 25 cloves in a nice roast garlic soup!!!
  7. Not a Blade myself, and to be honest Utd have been a lot wiser with money than Wednesday. I can name dozens of useless Wednesday players. But how about Petr Katchouro???
  8. Oh the last thing I want to do is blame Francis. He should have never been sacked.
  9. The back of the Royal pub in Dungworth, you can see all seven hills from there, spectacle everywhere you look!
  10. Francis because he made the mistake of wanting to see Cantona play on grass first. Biggest mistake Wednesday ever made not signing Cantona. We would have won that season with Hirst and Cantona up front.
  11. Well I liked the book mostly for the way Vonnegut approached the subject he was discussing. He actually manages to couple humour with great tragedy. I cant think of many who would dislike the book, but I would warn people that they shoudn't expect it to have a normal narrative - i.e a traditional protagonist beginning middle end kind of novel
  12. Good choice!!! I bought it recently (last two weeks)...it really is an emotional novel. I'd recommend all Vonneguts books...highly satirical. Its actually in a special series at the moment, its been sold in Waterstones for £3.99.
  13. I can be a bit partial to a chip butty from the Broomhill friary. Very nice chips, not at all greesy!!! P.S - Watch out you dont go across the road to Northern Sole fish'n'chips as everyone I know who has eaten there has later been ill.
  14. I always have a problem i.e by the time I remember that its the Snooker soon and I go to see whats available, there's nothing left.
  15. Been of Polish heritage I theres one shop in CastleMarkets I alway visit. Its run by a small woman of undetermined age. All I can say about its stock of meat products is yummy yum yum.
