looking at going to damflask on monday anyone got any tips, inc bait and pegs?, i also heard they have a ticket machine to pay for day passes

yer i dont really mind, when i was younger i used to fish ponds but that was near hull, not really used to sheffield yet. I would keep fishing the don but it just seems like alot of hard work

i live just next to middlewood tram stop, been fishing the don a few times as you go out the city but not really keen on it or know how to fish it that well as im still a beginner. Just wondering if anyone can recommend any spots this side of town that are easy to get to on foot or by public transport. cheers

Yer the first stretch on the canal had a few people on it but didnt pull much out. Dont really fancy fishing private ponds/lakes. Saw a guy fishing don on nursery street not sure youd get much there

Ive lived in sheffield for a few years and have finally got my fishing gear out of storage. I went do to the canal behind the hilton just round the first bend and was dissapointed with the fishing in the area. Ive been told the don can be ok but just looking for recommendations. Live near to northen general with no car so somewhere I can get a bus to or a shortish walk. Thanks
