  1. The countries of the UK are not an artificial capitalist inspired twentieth century construct, but an organic group of nation states that predate capitalism, the industrial revolution, world wars... It just doesn't make any sense to show loyalty to a trading bloc which since its beginning has been envious and jealous of organic nations.
  2. Really well, thank you. The best thing the UK has done this century is to Leave the fading, out of date, twentieth century construct, the EU.
  3. The reality is that the vast majority of the global parasite high-flyers employed by the likes of JP Morgan are not UK citizens anyway, and moving across borders is a normal part of their capitalist vulture career path. JP Morgan have been muttering about this move to Frankfurt since the Leaman Brothers collapse of 2008. JP Morgan also played a part in the financial crash of 2008, and were fined a record $13bn over toxic mortgages. https://www.theguardian.com/business/2013/nov/19/jp-morgan-record-fine-settlement-mortgages The Financial crash directly led to austerity, which in turn led to the support for Brexit (why stay in an economic trading bloc that exists to mainly benefit the rich?) JP Morgan is one the many architects of the Brexit vote. You reap what you sow.
  4. Nothing about the BBC? What about its mantra that people who don't pay it's regressive TV tax are criminal evaders until they have proved to the BBC that they aren't? Why do you defend the rich establishment and not the disadvantaged and vulnerable people it persecutes?
  5. The EU regularly breaks international law and treaties. FACT.
  6. Do you support the long held BBC view that people are guilty until proven innocent? People who don't watch live television broadcasts must, according to the BBC, inform BBC TV Licensing of this and then wait to be visited by BBC TV Licence enforcers for an interview and home inspection - to confirm that they are telling the truth. The BBC states that this must be repeated periodically to check nothing has changed. Every time somebody moves home, they must also inform the BBC that they still don't watch live television broadcasts and then submit to regular home visits to confirm they have been telling the truth. All without being a BBC customer! No wonder some people just pay even when they don't watch TV... In this warped BBC version of society people are judged as being guilty of being TV licence evaders until the BBC proves they are not. My motivation for opposing the BBC TV Licence fee is this reversal of the presumption of innocence by the national broadcaster, which goes against all natural law. The BBC passionately believes that 'Proof lies on him who denies, not on him who asserts."
  7. Well, if I were with Extinction Rebellion (which I'm not, because for a start I'm not a member of that exclusive club - the affluent white middle class) I would be calling for every UK democratically elected body to surrender their authority and decision making powers to Extinction Rebellion. EVERY decision making body - from local councils to the Westminster Parliament. I would argue, as do Extinction Rebellion, that as climate change directly affects every single aspect of modern society, Extinction Rebellion MUST be given control over everything. It is of no concern that Extinction Rebellion could never win a democratic election at any level in the UK, they must take over the democratic decision making processes of the local authorities, directly elected regional assemblies and the UK government through installing their own Citizen's Assembly - which will, of course, be compliant with their wishes and will only make decisions that Extinction Rebellion approves. The public must only be given democratic choices that are permitted under the safe direction of Extinction Rebellion. An Extinction Rebellion Citizens Assembly could never make any decisions that go against the environmental justice principles of the leadership of the movement (as may happen in a free and fair democratically elected chamber) because Citizens Assembly briefing materials, experts, and other presenters will be vetted and controlled by Extinction Rebellion. Extinction Rebellion’s Third Demand is that government must create and be led by the decisions of a Citizens’ Assembly on climate and ecological justice. There can only be puppet governments, under the control of an Extinction Rebellion compliant Citizens Assembly, in the future. But the first thing I would do is to attack the press as an enemy of the people and the revolution. Oh, wait...
  8. Actually it's The Guardian's Media Editor, Tim Waterson, who first mentioned BAME people, poorer communities and those in the north of England, Scotland and Northern Ireland no longer seeing the appeal of an affluent southern and very middle class BBC. https://www.theguardian.com/media/2020/sep/15/more-of-less-the-dilemma-facing-tim-davie-at-the-bbc Perhaps you might ask him who elected himself a spokesperson for the BAME community ? Or the disadvantaged?
  9. BBC 4 radio presenter James Naughtie worked 23 hours for the BBC in 2019/20 and was paid 175,000 (ÂŁ7,608 an hour or ÂŁ126 a minute). Pensioners need to pay their TV Licence to fund these BBC parasites.
  10. You do realise that during that week that you are unlicensed if you watch live television broadcasts then you are breaking the law and could face criminal prosecution and a ÂŁ1000 fine? Of course BAME people, disadvantaged and poorer audiences and those people living in Northern England, Scotland and Northern Ireland are realising more and more that the privileged, wealthy middle class and out of touch BBC does not represent them in any shape or form and no longer wish to consume BBC content.
  11. Former Prime Minister's Major and Blair who took us deeper and deeper into the EU without our consent are now moaning again about our decision to Leave the EU and breaking international law. Considering what these two have done to the country, and especially Tony Blair lecturing us on destabilising peace and the reputational damage of violating international law, I say bring on the No Deal Brexit.
  12. Most people just want to get Brexit done. We all want this EU situation done and dusted and behind us in the dustbin of history. Time to move on to new challenges.
  13. According to Extinction Rebellion you have a choice - keep the lifestyle you enjoy, or save the planet. It's as simple as that, according to ER.
  14. Which is certainly the direction that Extinction Rebellion is headed in. Attempting to silence a free and independent press for not printing what Extinction Rebellion approves is the hallmark of a deeply intolerant, anti democratic totalitarianism.
  15. What we have seen in the last year is the very middle class, non diverse Extinction Rebellion becoming more and more radicalised and moving away from persuasion and lawful demonstration towards organised criminality which aims to spread fear and bring disruption to the lives of the working class.
  16. You don't believe that The Telegraph and The Financial Times are newspapers? Those were just two of the titles that were affected, including local newspapers. Extinction Rebellion stinks to high heaven of fascism. They are terrified of putting their views to the public vote in a democratic election because these middle class extremists are aware that they have no public support.
  17. Statement: SoE condemns blocking of printing press sites by Extinction Rebellion "The Society of Editors (SoE) has condemned actions taken by Extinction Rebellion protesters which resulted in the delivery of several national UK newspapers being delayed this morning. The protesters targeted three printing centres owned by News Corp to protest their claims over coverage of climate issues. Editions of several national daily newspapers were delayed by protesters’ blockades. Sixty-three people were later arrested. Ian Murray, executive director of the Society of Editors branded the actions as both foolish and anti-democratic and said they were an obvious deliberate attempt to harm the UK’s free press. “The irony of protesters who wish to have their voices heard and their message listened to attempting to silence others by preventing the distribution of newspapers would be laughable if it was not so serious,” commented Murray. “You have to wonder whether those planning and taking part in these foolish actions understand anything from history; that controlling or shutting down free speech and an independent media is the first action of totalitarian regimes and dictators. “Everyone has the right to peacefully protest and make their voices heard, after all that is what a free press is all about. But it is not acceptable for those who wish only their voices to be heard to attempt to silence others. “The UK’s media has provided an enormous amount of coverage on the issue of climate change, exploring the arguments from all angles. This attempt to blackmail the media into slavishly repeating the claims of one side of the debate while ignoring criticism of it will fail but displays a poor understanding of how the freedoms that allow organisations like Extinction Rebellion to protest are protected through the very free press they are attacking.” https://www.societyofeditors.org/soe_news/statement-soe-condemns-blocking-of-printing-press-sites-by-extinction-rebellion/ Extinction Rebellion is using fascist tactics to try and impose their particular brand of middle class extremism upon the rest of us.
  18. The Nazi's urgently need anti democracy action. Are you in?
  19. Extinction Rebellion and the NSDAP (Nazi party) both believe that it is acceptable to censor political opinions that they deem unacceptable. I think this is a very dangerous totalitarian mindset that leads to suffering and intolerance. Why do you believe that it is acceptable to censor legally held opinions you don't agree with? Have you learned any lessons from history?
  20. The Nazi's also believed it to be acceptable to restrict the public's access to those publications they deemed to be barely disguised propaganda sheets. Were they correct too? David Attenborough had an article in yesterdays Sun newspaper, in which he stated: “I don’t think it is sensible politics to break the law. If you are any good at all, some of your demands will be met and then you will be demanding people abide by those new laws. You can’t have it both ways.” It seems Extinction Rebellion wanted to censor his views and prevent people from reading them. Attacks on a free press are indicative of a totalitarian mindset. Book burning will follow.
  21. Do you agree with the Nazi party and Extinction Rebellion's strategy of restricting the public's right to access journalism of their choice?
  22. Extinction Rebellion fascists are back in action again, trying to silence others while making their voices heard. https://news.sky.com/story/extinction-rebellion-protests-at-printing-presses-stop-millions-of-papers-being-delivered-12064057 Using fascist tactics to shut down independent media and control the news agenda is chillingly totalitarian.
  23. Ipswich MP calls for BBC licence fee to be scrapped Ipswich MP Tom Hunt has called for the BBC licence fee to be abolished - and for the corporation to lose its role as the UK’s national broadcaster. https://www.ipswichstar.co.uk/news/tom-hunt-attacks-bbc-1-6815162 "The Conservative, elected to parliament in the 2019 general election, made his decision following an online poll on his website. Out of nearly 5,000 responses, 97% wanted the licence fee abolished. Nearly 900 people with postcodes in his constituency took part – and 90% of them wanted the licence fee abolished." A small sample of the population, but very reflective of the mood for change that is sweeping the country. The regressive BBC establishment and it's supporters, so out of touch with ordinary working people, do not recognise this and must be dragged, kicking and screaming, into the progressive twenty-first century. The snowball is rolling...
  24. I've yet to hear of a single 'Project Fear' claim become reality. Not a single one. At least, one that isn't a soundbite.
  25. If this is your cultural argument for a compulsory television licence fee it is very weak. There is no moral case for requiring disadvantaged and vulnerable people, especially women, to finance the BBC if they have no interest in its services.
