  1. No results unfortunately but thanks for the suggestion. I'll add my journey now. I haven't had any success on the liftshare sites but I'll keep giving it a go!
  2. Hello, I travel for work every day from Wakefield to Sheffield. As you can imagine at the moment it costs me a lot of money in petrol. Does anyone else travel this way and is interesting in sharing journeys? I'm currently driving to Centertainment Park & Ride and then hopping on the tram. I realise this may be a long shot but I haven't yet found anyone and thought a few people may see this post here! If anyone is interested in sharing please reply to this post or drop me a message. Thanks Ruth
  3. Hmm that may be an issue, yes. I was thinking of probably parking somewhere easier to get to for the late nights as it's only going to be certain nights of the week or parking in the city centre on those days.
  4. Ah yes it would! I've worked one day a week in Sheff for years so I know how it changes with the school holidays etc. Darnall sounds like it may be a possibility. After costing up Centertainment is the cheaper option but it's good to have others in case it is full. Thanks for your help everyone!
  5. Ooh thanks! Seems like I have a few options, the top being middle wood or centertainment park and ride or Chapeltown station. If anyone does park and ride at centertainment please let me know the parking status in the morning!
  6. Ah thank you, I have looked into Middlewood and it seems to be the best one so far if Centretainment is going to be full. I'm just checking there's not some other route I've missed! I think the tram and then driving would be the best option as long as the trams are regular enough. If Middlewood is half a mile from the Wednesday ground it's probably not too far from my route now...
  7. Ok thanks. Does anyone know if Centertainment gets full early in the morning?
  8. Thanks! I do drive to Sheffield now on a Friday for a different job but it's in Broomhill so I come down Penistone Road and don't hit that much traffic. This is more problematic as it's right in the centre.
  9. Hello, This is my first time posting on this forum, however I thought you lovely Sheffield people would be able to help me in this dilemma. I'm about to start a job in Sheffield city centre and I'm wondering the best way to travel into the city on a daily basis. I live in Wakefield, therefore I have considered the train but it is very expensive. I'm considering Park & Ride - does anyone have any suggestions? Meadowhall is the nearest to me but I've been told it gets full very early in the morning (I'm going to be working from 9am till late). Is it the same for Centertainment? Or are there any other ways you would suggest? Any help would be really appreciated as I'm getting a bit lost in everything here!
