  1. He's done it throughout his career really. If he gets the service, he'll always score goals. The weird thing is he seems to be getting better.
  2. Coutts was our most influential player, and we were very reliant on him. As soon as he got injured, we were incapable of playing in the same way. 'One man team' doesn't sound good, but you're not far away. That deep lying midfield role is key to how we play, and without a competent player there, we're half the team. Thankfully we now have two top quality players for the position.
  3. We're looking good, but I'm not getting ahead of myself whatsoever. Last season we were in similar form and we were undone by one player getting injured. That was down to our replacement for our most influential midfielder being inadequate. The signing of Norwood was exactly what we needed, and now Coutts is back we have brilliant competition for the role that is vital to how we play. Freeman being out for most of last season was also a big loss, we missed his goals and creativity from the right side, and although Baldock is more than good enough at this level, Freeman is the better fit for our system. The signings of Henderson, Egan, Norwood and McGoldrick have all really improved us. Cranie, Johnson, Washington, Woodburn and Bryan (when he's fit) have given us some real quality in depth. We now have a second 11 who I think would hold its own in this division. Very early, I'm just enjoying it as it comes. UTB!
  4. Ah, a work related excuse. Only really covers you for away games though. Not quite sure what your angle is on this forum, your posts are very odd.
  5. You're like a broken record, you seem to accuse lots of people on here of not going to watch their team? I assume you go to every Wednesday game? Home and away? Credit to you.
  6. I watched the Blades at the pub. I'm a reight part timer.
  7. Brilliant result, so assured too, in control for 90 minutes and they've not lost at home in 500 games. UTB!
  8. Yeah, the second was a stonewall penalty.
  9. We made it hard for ourselves again, but another brilliant win!
  10. It is a good result, especially as you got outplayed, to get a point from it is a good result. A draw was the best result for us too really.
  11. Decent point for Wednesday against a superior team, although Leeds were toothless. I think they'll start to slide down the table a bit as usual.
  12. For a set of fans who claim not to care about this result there's a whole lot of bitterness. I personally didn't even know we were playing until the day, but the result is no surprise. Our academy has always been better than Wednesday's (and most teams in the country). Even with a load of them out on loan.
  13. Good result today! A point was okay against Stoke, a loss again Forest, and a surprise win against Villa. I'd have been very surprised if you'd lost all of them! Okay return from three tough games. I reckon we've both played Villa at a good time though, I can see Bruce going and their form changing.
  14. I know right, haven't seen us play as badly for quite some time. We got something out of it though, the sign of a good team.
  15. Yeah we were shocking too. Good point, could have lost.
  16. Play a team who aren't in the bottom 6... Lose. Normal service resumed.
  17. 0-0. Very poor performance. On the bright side, we played badly and didn't lose. Last season we never got anything when we played poorly. UTB!
  18. He's clearly got ambition, good move to a bigger club in a better league. Choosing an SPL club over a Championship club will definitely develop him more as a player. Said no one ever. Having said that, there's got to be some logic there. If he had offers from Championship clubs, why choose Hearts who won't be paying him as much, and who play in a bloody awful league?
  19. Yeah, but we support Sheffield football teams mate. Like that's ever going to to happen...
  20. Relegation certs. Seems like we played well in the first half but dropped off in the second. We definitely missed Fleck. Thankfully we've got two home games next week, so not much time to dwell on this result. It's come to something when being only a point behind us is seen as an achievement. What a turnaround from a couple of years ago
  21. Norwood really has transformed us. Our midfield is one of the very best in the division.
