I didn't want to be the one to say it, as I thought it'd come across as bitter, and I wouldn't say it if it wasn't true, but Wednesday were the worst side to visit the Lane so far this season by some distance. It was like watching a non league club drawing Man City away in the FA Cup and going for the replay. There's actually a thread on OwlsTalk making this point.

Alright I'll play along. 1 point from your last five games, you're going down. I think we're good enough to challenge for the top six this season. The performances are there, the results will pick up again. Like I said, you did a job on us again there. Fair play, but we're so much better than you it's unreal.

Damn. Can't be too mad about that, great first half performance where we should have put the game to bed. We ran out of ideas a bit in the second half against a resilient Wednesday defence (I know right). We were so much better, but it wasn't to be. We've always struggle against sides who set up like that. Even in League One, it took a 93rd minute winner to beat 9 man Bury at home. Fair play Wednesday, you got what you came for.

You misunderstand me, I'm not saying they shouldn't have celebrated as they did. The fact they did proves my point, it was a fantastic result for Wednesday.

Of course not, that was sort of my point, how things have flipped around in such a short amount of time. A draw against a side like Wednesday is a poor result for us now, whereas it's very good for Wednesday.

Amazing how differently things have gone for both teams over the last year or so. Just over a year ago, before the first derby Wednesday were favourites. Many Wednesday fans thought they were far superior, and would have too much quality for us. The Blades won 4-2. Then, in January for the game at the Lane, due to their many injuries, a 0-0 draw was seen as a triumph. A year on, and Wednesday fans are predicting a pummelling. I reckon it'll be tight. It's not like we're playing a Sunday League side, Wednesday have Championship standard players, and are only relatively dire, there are worse teams in this division.

I think the 'Wednesday have far superior players to United' argument has been debunked to be honest. There was a big thread on OwlsTalk a couple of weeks back, and even they agreed that the only players that would get into the Blades side would be Reach, Forestieiri, and at a push Bannan and Hooper. They do have players who cost more.

Poor performance, poor result. Always going to be a tough one though. We need a response next Friday.

Very tough game. A draw wouldn't be a bad result, but we don't settle for those. If we go there and play our game we should be able to dominate the ball. This may or may not be enough to win, but I hope we can make another statement here. UTB!

Hoping for a draw. Keep Norwich at arms length, and don't want Wednesday winning and getting any morale boost before next Friday.

Wednesday fans always do this. 'Oo you're strong favourites, no pressure on us' We could lose to you and still be top of the league. Who knows? I'm only confident of one thing next Friday, that we'll dominate the game and outplay you. We do however sometimes struggle to put away our chances, so a draw, or narrow defeat is very possible.

Well that theory doesn't check out. You've beaten Ipswich, Millwall, Reading, Villa and Bristol City so far this season lol.

I'll be sure to use the crappy 'where were you when you weren't doing well?' line when you come back when Wednesday have got it together. Plenty seem to come out with that one when they're losing a debate.

We didn't play as well as Tuesday, but got the result. Strange game is football. Billy doing what he does best. Leeds currently losing. Brilliant day all round results wise.

Potentially a tougher game than Stoke midweek, which we really should have taken three points from. Only ourselves to blame though for the many missed chances. I still feel like we should be putting Wigan to the sword today. They aren't usually brilliant away from home, and usually try to shut up shop. A couple of early goals would he nice in this one. UTB!
