  1. Magsie, would be more than happy to go to dog pound, but I don't know where it is.. do we need an appointment or just turn up?
  2. We've had Mardy since he was 7 weeks, and he's now nearly 20 weeks. He slotted right in and has become one of the family. We'd like to get him a friend, a kitten! But we worry that he won't accept it, although he is very easy going!! Would you advise we get a female or a male? Mardy isn't neutered yet as he isn't old enough but will be done as soon as he can be. Should we wait until he's neutered or is it best to do it now? As soon as I've had some replies I can get on the phone to cat's protection and arrange a home visit hopefully!
  3. I also went here and left in 1996, absolutely loved it. Don't like the new school though, it's too clinical! Mr Neale was also head when I was there, then Mrs Tyas.
  4. Hello.. so you got your own way with the names? BTW people think I'm kidding when I say and ask when I'm going to change his name.. I'm NOT!
  5. My little boy just looks like that, and he's called Mardy
  6. He's already fell down the stairs, off the computer desk and many other things. Currently entertaining himself with grabbing at my fingers typing. Quick question whilst I'm here, what worming/flea treatment is best for him... he's 8 weeks but can only find the one that's for older than 12 weeks?
  7. I don't know what he could be, apparently mum was a stray the people took in and not long after she fell pregnant so no idea who the dad is. Mum did have the same kind of markings but her colour was a bit more ginger. Thanks slack, he's a pleasure to have, although he spent most of the night trying to get the dots off my spotty pyjamas!
  8. He's 8 weeks old and absolutely gorgeous, not an ounce of trouble (touch wood) and we've fallen in love already, we only got him on Saturday night! I hope these photos work as I've never done this before.. http://s734.photobucket.com/albums/ww343/Clik32/
  9. I remember Andrew Richardson very well, I remember as a little girl thinking HE was God! I don't know why! He played a guitar I think, was such a nice man and I saw him not long ago at Manor Castle open day. He lives somewhere out of Sheffield now but I will try and see if I can get hold of him for you
  10. Still horrific, avoid it like the plague
  11. Got a few baby chickens, had them from eggs, some are the yellow typical fluffy type whilst the others are browny coloured. Does their colour determine what sex they are? Someone told us brown was girls and yellow were boys but not sure?? Any help appreciated
  12. I don't think it'll encourage Labrador buying, there's been Andrex adverts on TV every day for years now so can't see difference.
  13. Had them for years when I was younger, I tried to rubbing a match head on them, that didn't work. Even tied sewing thread round them tightly to cut the supply off, they used to fall off then grow back. Ended up having the main one cut off at hospital and amazingly after that, they all disappeared!
  14. It seems Niamh had her transplant yesterday and is doing well Hooray!!
  15. Please think about this poorly little girl who so desperately needs a liver transplant. There is a facebook group set up for her and her family would like the plea to go nation-wide. Thanks for your time http://www.facebook.com/home.php#/group.php?gid=61556999950 I'm sorry if this link isn't blue/doesn't work but I don't know how to do it!
  16. I hope you're right about there not been a lot, I love snow but I'm off work next week and would like to get out of the house!
  17. I can second the function room at Woodburn Road, we've had loads there. Nice room, seperate room for own food and can have own DJ. Pay a deposit but get it back as long as there is no trouble!
  18. It doesn't say if it's closed though!
