  1. When the metal shutters were lifted the other night, I saw signs in the window when I was driving past, that it's going to be a shop for Doris Banham Dog Rescue.
  2. She may not need to worry - a few weeks ago I was driving past the bottom of Cobnar Road during the day and saw a tabby cat near that bus stop, with people stroking and fussing it. I bet the people at Staves Estate Agents know the cat if your friend wants to ask them next time, as it was right outside their shop next to the bus stop. My guess is that it lives around there, enjoys all the fuss it gets from people at the bus stop and this is it's routine
  3. Sorry to hear that Rocky. We were also burgled a week last Friday and we live just off Woodseats Road. They smashed all the glass out in the large sliding patio door and took our LG 42" TV and rifled through drawers for money and jewelry. A neighbour saw three dodgy looking youths walking past and stop at our fence to peer in through our windows just before it happened, around 5pm that day.
  4. It was good of you to take him to the out of hours vets Steph, you really did everything you could for the poor little thing x
  5. That's wonderful news!! Let's hope the other cat comes back home safe too xx
  6. It's just awful when your cat is missing If it was a Sunday when she was last seen, she could have been accidentally shut in a garden shed or greenhouse. I've found the best time to go out looking is usually about 7pm, when the traffic has quietened down and then you might be able to hear her respond to your calls. I hope she comes back home soon xx
  7. Cora B, I get exactly what you're saying, as i was wondering the same thing. Ianparkin's similar looking cat is missing, in the same area. Someone physically picked up a cat in the area, which looked similar to Betty and took her to Betty's house thinking it was Betty.. but it wasn't Betty. They didn't take the cat back to where they picked it up from, so this cat is now near Betty's house and may not be able to find it's way home again. Ian, it would be worth you pming the OP Kim with description of your missing cat.
  8. Hi, we usually stock Megazorb. I think we've sold out of it at the moment but should have more coming in a week or two. Just give us a call on 0114 262 0370 if you'd like to reserve a sack. Pet Company, 974-976 Abbeydale Road, Millhouses, S7 2QF, Thanks.
  9. I agree, very sound advice from midgecat and pinupkeza. Some vets have notice boards in their waiting rooms where you can put up a card to advertise that your cat is needing a good new home and at least most of the people who see it there will be animal lovers. Do your best for her - the direction your cat's future life will take, is in your hands and it's a big responsibility. Lots of luck in finding her a really good new home xx
  10. Please be careful who you give your cat to as there are some not nice people out there.. You want her to go to a good home and genuine cat lovers will not mind paying a small adoption fee. I worry when I see cats being given away for free x
