  1. A lido for the city centre would be good ,Castlegate maybe. Could tap into the CHP from Bernard road.
  2. Not sure if the current figure but I think only 15/20 percent of people are believed to have had the virus over the year of 2020 2/3 rds are asymptomatic.. Builders would be in a good age group to not be stricken that ill. Lots of sites were shut down. You seem to think just because Sheffield did not look like Eyam there's nothing going on. The above answer was my reasoning, however. https://www.building.co.uk/news/male-construction-workers-among-hardest-hit-from-covid-deaths-ons-says/5105936.article
  3. I know 3 people who have died with the virus. Not over keen on this " yes but they were old" bit as the last number I saw was the average person lost 5.7 years of expected life. I am in an age group at which hospitalisations become much more possible. That said I am in good health and statistically even if I got Covid it's about a 1/90,000 chance it would be fatal, that's to ignor the chance of lesser injury. I am not sure it's " porkies" rather than using the best knowledge we have at the time and how that's interpreted. That said Peirs Corbyn and some other click merchant types have put out outlandish lies
  4. You should go and check the definition of a pandemic
  5. Me Well. Newspapers BBC news. The CDC Public health England. World health organisation. Office of National Statistics. The Lancet. Professor Devi Sridar John Hopkins Medicine. Seattle Institute of Infectious Disease. Sky News. Voice of Thunder on YouTube. Union of Atomic Scientists, who have thrown more doubt on the natural origins of the disease.
  6. Begs the question where you get your information.
  7. We now know transmission via surfaces is very very rare.
  8. And yet you say you know someone who caught Covid in hospital and that was put on the death cert. And in what position are you to know the health details and care of that person in their final days. I have never seen anyone have a heart attacked but when the ONS reports the number ,I don't deny it happened. That's madness
  9. Got my plate ready if I need a dose of humble pie
  10. The firefighter thing was a workplace shooting. Inevitably a registered gun
  11. Every single one if them should be took to court.
  12. In a bad flu year there's 25,000 deaths. No one in my social circle has had " flu" this year. Yet we have 130,000 people who have died with covid listed as one of the contributing factors. Covid symptoms are significantly different to flu,how do you square that.
  13. Just not so but there's no hope of convincing you of that.
  14. There were no options but having the restrictions in place. Despite having the highest " excess deaths" in 100 years you still think this is a trivial virus .
  15. That's not a bad article and to think USAtoday used to be regarded as a tabloid lightweight.
  16. Carbuncle is right in the numbers. What the balance point is between caution and more hopeful is up for argument What is certain is we are in the best place since since last February and that's a much stronger trend,at last
  17. It's a sunny day ,so I am in a positive mood. New cases are up but the number is 90 plus percent less than at the peak daily new cases. Deaths have been in single figures for a couple if weeks ,at the peak we went 20 plus consecutive days of over 1000.
  18. One I am still hung up on since schooldays
  19. Miss Basil Brush and Generation game myself. Was kind of nice when every show wasn't down to the semi talented public getting their 5 mins of stage time and public votes. The Masked Singer is like Telly Tubbies for adults
  20. Blimey , let's go with the glass being half full shall we😊
  21. Sheffield Convenience Store 111 West Street, S1 4EQ https://www.myhermes.co.uk/find-a-parcel-shop#/
  22. Just trying to spread a little happiness.. That said think the total was ONE on Friday.
  23. First day with ZERO reported deaths.
