Not quite the above.. I was at Sheffield station about a week after two terrorists attacks in London. As I was just about to come down the steps to the foyer ,it was 10 am or so there was a blood curdling scream from somewhere, out of sight. It was the only sound and people below seemed stock still. I remember thinking ,am I going to do something, and decided yes I was going intervene to whatever it was . Thankfully it was not an armed attacker but a child whos hand had been dragged inside the lift door mechanism which I managed to shoulder barge to free him. Certainly got my heart pumping. -
Why lie about it being a " mistake".

Sheffield Homelessness At All-Time High

Knocking students is such a regressive thing. What would Sheffield be with out the Universitys,Rotherham. The University has a bigger budget than the council. Apart from 3 London Universitys the students here put more money into the economy than any other UK city, this was a couple of years back but I dare say is still broadly true -

Sheffield Homelessness At All-Time High

When you are dealing with this as the background, policy choice Ministers have come under mounting pressure to reverse policies that have seen the number of new social homes being built plummet by 97 per cent since 2010. The total number of homes built by councils across Britain totalled just 1,840 last year, although this was the second highest since 2012. -

Single households and Good News ,longer life spans are driving the majority if the shortage. It is funny that more or less ANY new housing development in Sheffield on this forum gets decried . -

Suits land owners ,builders and investment companies to keep housing in short supply to keep prices high. Under building has been a story for two decades ,its not a new story.
