  1. I understand, I felt the same. Suppose I'm in the category whatsoever.
  2. Thanks Kiddorry! So the next get together is on the 6th of Dec, or there will be a November one?
  3. I might be as well. Anyway nice to hear that there is someone I can talk Russian here.
  4. Sorry for come to you late. Was very busy this week. It is true that wet felting is more for him, but in my country this children do needle felting too. They use forms for cookies to do shapes of hearts, flowers, etc and use felt needles with handle. It is not fully 3d felting objects, some of children are very excited with that process. BUT needles are very sharp, so not all children are allowed. From my own experience CLAY works with these children way better. Have you tried to do smth from clay? Specially it works good for energetic one. I know it sounds weird but clay/working with clay have soul healing effect, this material you can pat, squeeze, slide, touch, punch, roll.
  5. For any one who couldn't come due to day, tomorrow we are going to park (botanical garden) to do pics of my handmade toys. And I can combine it with hairdo, interested? If yes please let me know before. ---------- Post added 21-06-2013 at 20:43 ---------- R you free on Saturday?
  6. Chipspice, then may be some other day when I will be bored and have nothing to do. Hm as there is no other comments or messages I think the answer is NO. Though there is no trick and I was ready to do it free just because I'm bored, before I moved to UK girls come to me do it for money. But any way looks like the weather is good this week so will go botanical garden tomorrow at least to have a nice walk.
  7. Ladies, by chance this Thursday I have nothing to do as they cut of power in my house for the whole day. So I plan to go to park (not decided what park yet) and spend some time there. The same time I'm very good in doing elegant braid hairdo, and I think it might be good idea to combine these two things. Does any one interested? Oh forgot to tell that I will do it totally FREE, just because I'm bored and I love to do braids. But you still will need to have some items: 1 your comb 2 elastic hairband (better 2) 3 bobby pins
  8. Sigh... I'm happy to be Russian.
  9. Is there still Russians in Sheffield. I would.. вообще не понимаю, зачем в поиске русских я пишу по англицки. Человеки, если есть среди вас русские, давайте общаться! А?! Я вот русская, а поговорить на родном языке в Шеффилде не с кем. Очень по нему скучаю.
  10. Hi Julie, Nice to meet you. I'm new to this forum so can't send messages yet, so may be you can send me message how can I contact you.
  11. Hi beansforyou, nice to meet you! Will have a look at these courses though I'm not so much interested in courses as more in people who create felt things. It was quit a surprise for me to find out what things could be done from wool and some of felt works are real piece of art. Many methods your can learn but the best one is that you discovered yourself. So I would love to hang over with people who like to explore, who sees in felting not only utilizing function but a great tool for creating. And even if they never tried it before but like these things that will be great to meet up and to do felt together. Though I;m a foreigner don't think it will be hard to me to show and explain some methods:) As for me I can't decide wet or needle felting, I always shift from wet to needle from needle to wet. Though I think you are right wet has more artistic potential more experiments and discoveries. But sometimes I make dolls and it is like sculpting but with a needle. Felting machine sound interesting in my country I've seen only factory felting machines for making shoes and carpets.
  12. Hello I'm Xenia, i'm new to this forum so if i posted in the wrong thread please let me know and i will correct it. Not so long ago we (I and my husband) relocated to Sheffield, so i hope to find new friends here. I have an art degree in ceramic but as have no chance to do my ceramic(no facilities) I jumped into felt art and found it fun and challenging. I just thought may be you also like felting or wanted to try it I will be more than happy to give you a helping hand or to do a master-class FREE, I do it not for money but for chance to socialize in Sheffield community to find people with same interests and hope future friends. Do you think it might be interesting? If you don't know wat is felting or wat can be done you can go to my fb page https://www.facebook.com/yoFNCY to have a look or send me a short message If there are felt artist do you have special felt club? Or felt crafters meetings/parties? I would love to join it and share my experience.
