Try Morris Bywater in town. They have a workshop on site.

I've found a ladies ring in Morrisons carpark at Halfway this morning. If you've lost one pm me & if you can give me an accurate description I'll get it back to you.

Bought one a couple of months ago from there. Salesperson wasn't at all pushy gave us lots of advice & pleased with quality.

Kindness of Sheffield people had us in tears

I'll be proud to join in the round of applause at Bramall Lane on Tuesday in memory of your little fighter. Heartfelt sympathy to you & your family. -
Coates solicitors at Mosborough. Just dealt with my mom's probate & completely efficient & kept us informed every step of the way.

Argh, annoying all night banging rave/party in Handsworth.
andrea68 replied to gld05's topic in Sheffield News & Discussions
The person who did the post was from Oughtibridge but it could be heard at this side as well. I live at Intake & thought it was coming from the industrial estate on Birley Vale it was that clear & it's the same again this time. A lot suggested it was coming from Attercliffe which would certainly carry, all I know it's bloody annoying. -

It's the second week running - see the previous post Oughtibridge rave- everyone can hear it. Luckily it finished at 7 last week so it should be over anytime now. -
Recommendations for a good solicitor for will writing
andrea68 replied to Lily1's topic in Sheffield News & Discussions
Another vote for Coates at Mosborough. Dealt with our wills & also used them for conveyancing - really efficient small family business. -
Spent hours doing it. Elastic tied around the chair legs and me dad playing hell because he wanted to read the paper in peace and I was jumping all over his feet.

Punctate inner choroidopathy / P.I.C --DO YOU HAVE THIS ?
andrea68 replied to Crosslass's topic in General Discussions
In a word yes. I was diagnosed in my early 20s & I'm now mid 40s. My symptoms come and go but was initially told that it affects young women on the pill. It seems to have been less severe as I have got older but at its worst I can only describe it as trying to see through windows that are covered in grease or paint. This will last for about 4 weeks & then resolves itself. Luckily I've only ever had it in one eye at a time. I've never been told a cure is available but at its worst I was given steroid injections into my eyes which was horrendous but as I said the episodes are less frequent now anyway. -
Anyone have trouble with EE signal tonight
andrea68 replied to myusernameha's topic in Sheffield News & Discussions
I've not had any problems at all. I'm at Intake & it's been working fine. On 4g but wouldn't have thought that would make a difference. -
Decent dentist recommendations

I use Castle dental at the top of Granville Road. I've always been pleased with them. -
We've been for a walk this morning around Rother Valley and the carpark at the Meadow Gate Avenue side is becoming a a fly tippers paradise. Loads of stuff left by some lazy sods that can't be bothered to go to a tip to get rid of their stuff.

At the best he works four days per week, a large amount of time spent in the reportedly £20,000 conservatory that he insisted was built so he didn't have to stand out in the cold - obviously misses his many Dubai jaunts when he has to be seen to be managing. A lazy manager breeds a lazy team and that's whats happened at S6.

Where is the BEST medical practice in S12
andrea68 replied to lilaclover's topic in Sheffield News & Discussions
I've been at Birley Health Centre for years. Thankfully I don't have to go that often but always been given a full consultation and never felt rushed. Dr Boyle is the most popular and you struggle to get an appointment to see him, but the others that I have seen have always been fine. They also do travel clinics, mother and baby sessions and minor ops. -
Can anyone recommend any Sheffield companies that can draw up wills and a rough idea of cost. I've looked at a few solicitors websites but not many tell you their fees. We're an unmarried couple with a house, no children who just need mirror wills so that we each get the houe and asetts when the other one dies. Thanks

Can anyone recommend an optician?
andrea68 replied to billigoat's topic in Sheffield News & Discussions
Armstrong opticians on Ridgeway road. The tram stops outside, Hollinsend Stop. Only a small shop but a thorough test and found a potential problem that needed a hospital appointment that one of the chain opticians had missed. -
Trying to work out a budget for me and my other half and just wondered how much everyone usually spends on average on their food shopping.

Saw this thread across on the Bladesmad site and replied, but I then I thought afterwards why don't you give them some unwanted publicity. The Sun on Sunday (and probably other nationals) have a trouble shooter who acts on reader behalves when they aren't getting anywhere with big companies who refuse to budge on the decisions they make. The Sun columnists gets involved and hey presto they write off the debt and usually give a sum of money to say sorry they are for being idiots. I can't remember his name and I assume they are inundated as more and more people are banging their heads against brick walls but it might be worth a try.

We go in there quite often and it's always been good. Tables cleaned quickly and food is always nice. Must admit we're avoiding during the school holidays so maybe it's down to the numbers going in.

Where to buy visqueen plastic sheeting
andrea68 replied to Unisol's topic in Sheffield News & Discussions
Polythene vapour barrier from Wickes would be ideal. £20 a roll and if I remember there's about 20m per roll. We've just used it for renovations to house and it was brilliant. -
I tried twice on Friday to get through, on hold both times for 20 minutes and then 40 mins at which point I had to give up as my work breaks had finished. I emailed them the query and had an automated reply to say they'll respond within 7 days. I presume it's like everywhere else, they'll have got rid of staff and the people that are there will be trying to stem the tide. Beyond frustrating though.

Birley Moor Road/Mansfield Road is closed every night from 730 until 0600 am while they resurface the road, which is why they can't come back up Silkstone Road. According to the sign on the bus stops it will be like this until next Friday and then the bus routes will return to the normal routes during these times.

Usually good banter in the queue as well, Radio Sheffield turned up when I was queueing for Pulp and I was supposed to be at work so definately no comments from me. There'll be hardy souls there whatever time you go down, but 4am will definately get you some good seats - deservedly so. Word of warning if parking there while you queue they do in theory clamp anyone who hasn't paid to park in the main carpark, but you can park on the slip road that runs in front of the box office.
