  1. I was talking to a pensioner who uses bottled gas to heat his home because his home does not have piped gas. and he was telling me over this winter it has used one bottle a week at a cost of £50, how can people on benefits afford that?
  2. To be honest I think Wednesday will be safe before the last game of the season I think they are better than a lot of teams around them.
  3. I've just looked at you league again and the bottom is tight right up to halfway but if you go with what some people are saying about 6 or 7 points being enough well it would mean all but four teams above you only need 3 or four points. I think Wednesday will stay up but think of it another way two teams below you have just gone above you and that trend needs sorting out. Oh and the games in hand Corker was speaking of don't really make much difference, on game in hand and as we are always told points in the bag are what count and there are only two teams on one more game out of the next five above you.
  4. Some very good points but you could just as well be talking about league 1 last season in your description but that was so much a better league in your eyes. Blackburn have been a shock for me I even had a few quid on them to win it at the beginning of the season.
  5. That can be spun both ways, if a league is tight it is clearly not and easier league meaning there is no a lot separating the teams, clearly the teams you mentioned found it easier last season. I agree United had a better squad but too many people think a teams name makes it a better league, no one can say that otherwise why did Wednesday end 16th ish in it? Teams go down because they are not good enough and we have both had plenty of that but they don't always make a league harder, better yes with the support and followers but not harder.
  6. Do you think the 1st division was a poor league when you finish 16th two seasons ago? Teams get relegated not for how well they have played and Charlton ran away with it last season which all Owls claim was a better league. The championship is very tight and Owls say how good a league it is and I don't dispute that but the league one is just as tight this season and Wednesday fans say that's because it's so poor, 1st division football is poor even when Wednesday have been there which is more than United.
  7. Couldn't agree more, like losing six or seven games in a row, I bet you wish you had drawn two or three of them.
  8. Uniteds result is not a good one no one is saying otherwise but neither is Wednesdays, you go on about 6-7 points being enough well I can see a few teams around you that can say the same, as for United if they keep up their points per game record so far they will go up automatically and if Wednesday do the same they will stay up. As for ten man Carlisle as soon as that happened 15 minutes from the end I expected a 0-0 result as teams always put ten men behind the ball then, in your little slight about 10 man Carlisle you keep forgetting to mention it was for 16 minutes.
  9. United fail to beat Carlisle and you predict disaster for them. Wednesday fail to beat the bottom of the league and you predict it's all going to be hunky dory. Wednesday get 4 points from their last two games and you're happy with that. United get 4 points off two games and your slagging them for it although one was a promotion contender. I'm sure both sets have fans would have taken four points before the Saturday games however I don't think anyone of either side will be happy with todays one point. Amazing how you twist thing to suit what you would like to happen or save face. United had a bad result today and looking back to Saturdays result makes it no better and the same goes for Wednesday.
  10. It doesn't matter one bit to the game and good result but to ruin a thread argueing about it like you have matters to the people trying to do something you're clearly not capable of which is have an adult discussion about the game. Either everyone else is wrong on this thread or you are, like I said people can form their own opinion on that.
  11. A very good win for Wednesday even though they were second best for large parts of the game. As for how many Barnsley fans were there it's clear one persons view on that is vastly distorted in comparison to the majority of people on here who actually went to the game. Make your own conlusions on that subject but does it really matter? Posted from Sheffieldforum.co.uk App for Android
  12. He's scored three goals out of 36 games and I am surprised no one has noticed who all three were against. Yep you've got it,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,United.
  13. Scored his first goal for Hartlepool against United. Hardly a prolific striker 3 goals in 36 turnouts and 36 years old they'll be signing Beattie next.
  14. Everyone is going to have to be on the internet to claim the new benefits the government are rolling out so the internet is no longer just a luxury.
  15. That's easy for you to say. You'd have to have broad shoulders to get that name on the back of your shirt.
