I lived there from being born in the 1960's up until 2002 . My parents are still there. Its changed a lot over the years with lots of houses built, its no longer the little village where everyone knows each other and lots of wide open spaces. I still like it there, don't get me wrong, its just a lot busier.

Thats a terrible thing to do. It might be worth giving Eden mobility a call on Halifax road, I called in a couple of days ago and there is a sign saying they buy things secondhand. I'll keep my eyes and ears open. Hope she gets it back.

Mattenmurg, yes it was too deep and needed trimming, apart from that it was ok thank goodness.

Got one from B and Q, found it was cheaper to purchse a door kit than the letter box on its own, it had a letter box complete and door handles around £16.

I just checked the details and yes you can block all international calls with the true call. I just have mine set to reject all witheld numbers, which has stopped all nuisance calls. You can put individual numbers on a block list too.

I believe the true call machine allows international calls to be blocked.

I will ask for some info. I am just researching the family tree and there are some Stubbs not to far back. I remember I used to go on holiday with the druid friendly society when I was young, around the 1975 ish. My uncle had quite a lot to do with them. I do remember some sort of insurance/ savings aspect connected to it, in fact I still have a policy running but the name has changed over now, I shall see what my parents can tell me.

I did actually change gp's for a couple of years due to changing the area where I lived, but I am now back at the original one. The one that I changed to was much the same, never saw the same gp, always a different one, weeks to wait for appointments. I think most surgerys are ran in the same way now and I think we have lost something from the days when it used to be a family doctor and always the same person that you saw and you just sat and waited to see them.

I have been attending the gp for years, and I mean years for the same thing and getting the brush off. It was only when I went in and caused a stir that I got some joy. I had got to the point where I could stand upright for no more than a few minutes. It had taken them more than 20 years for me to get referred to a rheumatologist who diagnosed me on the first visit. It sounds like a similar thing with the eyes and joints, autoimmune. Good luck , hope you get sorted out and get the treatment that you need.

Recently had our living room decorated by M mitchell decorator after seeing him recommended on here. He has done a really lovely job with both the painting and wallpapering. He turned up on time, is very friendly, and leaves things lovely and tidy, an all round excellent job. I will definately be using him again , so I think that says it all really. Thank you. I love spaghetti squash, but its really hard to get hold of locally, spouts are my next favourite. I dont really have much fruit, but raspberries and grapes are nice.

I have a bin bag full of clothes, mostly very good condition, a few pairs of shoes, a couple of mobiles, one is brand new still in box, only a cheap mobile, but might make a nice pressie for a younger child to have a mobile, and maybe some other bits, is it too late to donate ?

I didnt know that about the colouring and sex, thank you. I suspect she may be a female, she is very delicate in her build and just seems to have a girl face. we did wonder about her or he having been done. I would say the cat isnt a young one by the way she acts, although today she actually played for the first time, which was lovely to see. The way she holds herself seems to have changed as she has slowly improved. She isnt very heavy, although she has put weight on and isnt skinny anymore.
