  1. Hmmm, cinema is off then. Wasn't that fussed about going to be honest. Will make alternative plans.
  2. Sorry, which price was right? I looked and it's cheaper in London!
  3. Just gone to book tickets online for a showing tomorrow and it's showing as £11.10! I know the cinema is getting expensive but when I went earlier this year it was only £8.60 or something! Can someone confirm the price for me? Cheers!!
  4. The sad thing is we cant win can we? Money is tight for most people these days, bills are getting higher and higher, wages are staying the same. So people start to cut back. We spend less on food, conserve water and electricity. Then what happens? Overall consumption is down, so the utility companies put the price up to maintain their profits, and bills continue to get more expensive. Meanwhile the government thinks of more and more things they can take away from us and more ways of taxing us for daring to exist and try and lead a happy life. We cant drink we cant smoke we cant drive... soon there will be a tax on oxygen.
  5. Maybe I am jumping the gun abit but these days I see more and more "chavs" sometimes very young chavs riding the woods etc... on top of the range mountain bikes (I am talking bikes worth thousands not hundreds). I wish the police would come do some random checks, you know check the serial numbers etc... I bet they would recover quite a few stolen bikes.
  6. That is just common sense if you think about it. Not only is it encouraging her to go to the gym which will improve her health (assuming she is training and not just showering), but she saves a bit of money on her household bills too. She cant really be making sacrifices otherwise she would not have a gym membership in the first place. I bet she spends more on the gym and traveling to the gym than she does on her gas and water bill.
  7. I have not had a letter telling me my benefits will be cut because sadly I am not entitled to any benefits in the first place. Yet again that might be a good thing... if I wasnt **** poor.
  8. Granville Road is a nice big hill. On the other hand you can get to the city centre very easily, theres a McDonalds at the bottom of the road and access to Norfolk Park which is brilliant in the summer about halfway up. My OH used to live in the student village there and it was alright. Having said that she did get her house broken into and her laptop knicked. Police told her there was a bail hostel close by. Overall I would say its a decent enough area to be.
  9. That sounds like it is the full story. Multipage special full of dragged out drivel in The Star tomorrow.
  10. Just think if its on our cars then its probably inside our lungs too.
  11. This thread has done nothing but make me crave a roast pork sandwich. Tomorrow I am going to have to go out and buy the biggest roast pork sandwich I can find.
  12. There are plenty of nice parks in Sheffield. I dont think the weather is up to much tho.
  13. That really is out of order. How could someone be so lazy? I would have a word with her about it, just be nice and polite and reasonable.
