  1. Thanks for your help she has managed to sort it
  2. Can anyone help please? My wife has knitted a jumper with V neck. She needs to pick up the stitches for the neckband. However it is saying with RS facing pick up down the left edge up the right edge and the across the back. She is left handed and cannot knit that way. She would like to know if she starts with WS facing will it make any difference. Or is there another solution? Thank you
  3. I got a quote from a local locksmith to replace all my euro locks in the summer. He quoted me £275 for 3 external doors. When I researched the make of lock I wasn't happy and ended up buying Avocet locks from here http://www.abloyshop.co.uk/avocet-abs-mk3-anti-snap-locks-13-c.asp . Changed them myself at a cost of £125. There is plenty of information on how to change locks on utube and other internet sites.
  4. The A57 will re-open 1 lane on Monday 2nd December. Roadworks expected to be fully finished at the end of January
  5. Contact the Environment Agency on 03708 506506 and ask for an "Insurance Related Request". It's free for non commercial residents and will provide your insurers with the detail they need to provide insurance. It covers a lot more than the online flood risk on the website.
  6. Dexels on Staniforth Rd. If the tracking is ok then they don't charge. It is only a simple 4 wheel alignment though, if you need castor and camber checking then use a company that has a "Hunter" sytem as per Mafya's post
  7. You actually get an invoice that is made to look as though it's an enforceable ticket. They are issued by a company employed to patrol the car park and not council traffic wardens. If you paid it then you obviously weren't aware you needn't have done so, but we are now digressing from the original thread
  8. We overlook Loxley and can't pick up the Sheffield transmitter unfortuntely. Never had a problem until today though even when Freeview was new.
  9. Just updated channels on freeview and BBC 1 is now breaking up. Just wondering if this is linked to the instigation of 4G. Anyone else had any issues (Stannington area on Emley Moor Transmitter)
  10. Unless there were any injuries at the time there is no legal requirement to provide insurance details. The only legal requirement is to exchange name, address and registration numbers. Additionally, police will not get involved unless anyone is injured and in such an instance if they didn't attend the scene any of the drivers should report it within 24 hours. More information here http://www.norfolk.police.uk/safetyadvice/roadsafety/advicetoroadusers/roadtrafficcollisions.aspx
  11. They're also closing Stannington Rd at various points between Oldfield Rd (by the Sportsman) and Broadfield Lane (near Minnie's) next week so beware. There's very little information with signing just indicating resurfacing work. It's only due to a friend contacting Amey that we found out.
  12. If it's a First bus a lot of them have CCTV with one of the cameras trained on the driver. If you report it they will look at the cctv footage to confirm it. Don't know about Stagecoach or other operators.
  13. Anyone know where the Stannington bus services are terminating? Can't get through to travel line and the website is currently down - just when you need it most
  14. Sounds strange but you can always contact them to confirm Driver Licensing Enquiries Telephone: 0300 790 6801 Textphone: 0300 123 1278 Fax: 0300 123 0784 Fax from outside the UK: +44 (0)1792 786 369 Monday to Friday, 8am to 7pm Saturday, 8am to 2pm
  15. Tesco Extra on Saville Street do brand new ones for around £150.
  16. As there is only the one garage on Industry Street I think you just have done:hihi: The guy on Bowness Rd is well recommended.
  17. I was inititialy promised connection in November but due to BT being useless the FTTC box wasn't connected until Jan/Feb. As soon as the cabinet was live I was connected and haven't looked back since. Prior to this I was getting around 1mb as I live so far from Wadsley Bridge exchange.
  18. I've been with them on Digital Region since the beginning of this year as soon as FTTC was available. Customer service at the start was excellent and the broadband itself is good. I'm on the 24mb service at £17-50 and can't fault it. Speed tests return speeds between 16 and 20mb download over the time I've had it with a constant upload of 2mb. I've had no problems since joining so haven't needed customer service since the start.
  19. Don't choose the mustard pot near Stocksbridge http://www.tripadvisor.co.uk/Restaurant_Review-g186364-d1934107-Reviews-Ye_Olde_Mustard_Pot-Sheffield_South_Yorkshire_England.html. the Red Lion at Greonoside (on the A61) is pretty good.
  20. My sons are both graduating in November and I'm looking for a recommendation for a reasonable restaurant that opens for lunch in the town centre. The problem I have is my mother is also coming and she won't eat anything unless it's English:hihi: so that cuts down on my choices. I'm looking for somewhere that will have pleasant surroundings and good food, price isn't a major consideration so any suggestions would be welcome. I've been looking at Henry's, 23 bar & restaurant and also the Best western so far and struggling to find reviews so any help appreciated.
  21. Depends what you're looking for. I've dealt with Woodseats Road motors on a couple of occasions and found them to be trustworthy with reasonable stock. Carrs motors at Shalesmoor also have a good reputation and have been in business for years.
  22. If cash is left too long before being removed the machines automatically take it back as a safety measure (people have been known to walk away without taking their money ) Try ringing the number on the back of your card or log in online to check your balance, but you should be ok.
  23. Have a look at www.pepipoo.com loads of assistance on there regarding speeding tickets.
