Thanks very much for all your advice. My husband will be working in central Rotherham and we're looking at a max of 1100.00 PCM for rentals. I think he's actually looking forward to the commute on his own as he gets to listen to his music rather than "Disney Special Collection" all day, every day :-)

My family and I will be moving to South Yorkshire in March and I'm hoping for some advice on safe and rural places to set up home (renting not buying). My husband will be working in Rotherham but is happy to commute for an hour or so. I've not been this way before but have so far been recommended the Peak District and Dore as lovely places to live. My children are both under 5 so we don't need to be near cinemas etc. Thank you for any help you can offer :-) Looking at maps and village websites just isn't the same as personal recommendations.
