My other half tried to book on the internet yesterday morning, no chance! She said the site just would not load, must have been busy. So she jumped in the car and went down to the Arena. Only about 80 people there when she arrived, got the tickets with no problem but when she left the queue was a lot bigger. Can't wait!

If only somebody could invent an internet tool where you could search for things like this. Bet they would make a fortune!

I've recently joined the forum but been reading for a while and keeping tabs on this thread. I was born on Nidd Road, lived there from 1962 to about 1967. Then moved onto Balfour Road until about 1983/4. Didn't go to school there though, went to St Charles at Attercliffe then St John Fishers.

I've just joined the forum to post my condolences. My father was a regular in the Queens many years ago and was big mates with Jerry. Danny, Kitty and all their family were also long time friends of our family. I used to spend a few Saturday nights in the Queens even though I was only a nipper. Sadly my parents, John (Speck) and Eileen passed away a few years ago.
