  1. The only thing i can think of is the " Fire Brigade " they should have the plans. I found out there is no stairs, and toilets are in the waiting area. what is it you wanted from the plans?
  2. DWP says it won’t dispute High Court ruling that benefit system ‘blatantly discriminates’ against people with mental health problems. The Tories' refusal to hand 164,000 people higher disability benefits was today ruled "blatantly discriminatory" by the High Court. Campaigners hailed a massive victory as a top judge said the change to Personal Independence Payments (PIP) was unlawful. It said those who suffer "overwhelming psychological distress" when travelling alone should qualify more easily for PIP.
  3. https://www.thecornmill.com/ their sunflower seed is half the price of Wilko's, though you are buying in bulk.
  4. Win 10 Pro, not that many on e/bay, but saying that, the couple i have bought off e/bay have been good. (win 7, win 8.1) but it's always a gamble. ---------- Post added 17-01-2018 at 21:25 ---------- i have a win 10 home lap top ? but I'm going from AMD to Win I7
  5. Thanks, - did a Google search and paid £20.99 on Amazon = some you win, some you lose. lol. but if it doesn't work out I'll try your tips
  6. Where is the best place to buy the above license, must be Genuine. ---------- Post added 17-01-2018 at 19:15 ---------- I should have said 64 bit
  7. I swear to god, when I asked for an item to be collected she kept on about - If I've already had my one collection already it would cost me £60.00 per Item, she mentioned this not once, but three times during our conversation until I told her " Listen I have not had a previous collection" I've got a double bed here I want shifting, If it's only a tenner It will be gone this week.
  8. Council tenants are allowed one free bulk refuge collection per year (one ITEM) from Veolia after that its £60.00 per item.
  9. I suffer from a lung complaint already, If they found Asbstos the first time surly they would have told the occupier of the house/flat so that they could make an informed decision as to stay in the property or not?
  10. LOL, sorry, got to laugh. multistory blocks need help and adivce regards Fire risk and they want to check ASBESTOS twice in three years in semi's. Iv'e been in this hoUse gettng on for 35 years , only had the one asbestos cheacK until now,If they have the PROS in it's got to cost £200 a house. ---------- Post added 13-01-2018 at 19:56 ---------- My point is, what happened to the previus survey? did they lose it?
  11. It's a lot of money going out, but having the machine also brings customers in, catch 22 again, I don't want to lose my local shop, but the LAW IS THE LAW, I can't close my eyes and pretend their not charging for card transactions when the Law says NO. If paying £20.00 a month is beyond them they will have to go to the Minimum spend route.
  12. An important letter came though the door today, the council want to do a survey to find out If my property in Lttledale has ASBESTOS. - Fair enough one would think, but I'm still waiting for the results of the same survey taken 3 years ago. Are we going to have one of these every three years, or has the council got money to burn.
  13. Up until today the surcharge aloud was cost ony, in other words PROFIT was not to be made off these charges, some people took advantage hense the change in the law. Is 29p a flat rate, or does it go up?
  14. Here's one for the money smart on here, I pay a company £3.00 a week, I pay it on line - If I use my Debit card they charged me 50p, If I use my Credit card i'm charged 8p? I would have thought the reverse to be true. (can't wait to see what they are going to do next payment)
  15. Small shops NOW also have to charge 5p for carrier bags, another law that's just come in. ---------- Post added 13-01-2018 at 15:34 ---------- To be honest I didn't mind the 50p charge, it was worth it to use the card, but when this went up to £1.00 at this shop I did feel it was a little OTT.
  16. The Economic Secretary to the Treasury, Stephen Barclay, said: Rip-off charges have no place in a modern Britain and that’s why card charging in Britain is about to come to an end. These small charges can really add up and this change will mean shoppers across the country have that bit of extra cash to spend on the things that matter to them. The government has previously capped the costs that businesses face for processing card payments, and will engage with retailers to assess if there is any more that can be done to help. https://www.gov.uk/government/news/rip-off-card-charges-to-be-outlawed
  17. Just come back from the shop where the owner wanted to charge me £1,00 for using my Debt card (it was the usual practise) when I told her it was NOW against the law to charge her reply was " I know nothing about it, you can pay by cash" I did pay by cash, but just for you my darling - Credit cards: is this the end of the great rip-off? Customers can no longer be charged extra for paying by credit or debit card, At midnight on Friday, a rip-off that has cost Britons hundreds of millions of pounds a year was finally outlawed. All extra charges for using a credit or debit card to pay for goods and services have now been banned, which means no more nasty surprises at the checkout, says the government. https://www.theguardian.com/money/2018/jan/13/credit-card-surcharge-debit-ban
  18. Voted, second place at the moment, just 200 votes behind - good luck.
  19. I wouldn't mind so much, but it was the ONLY question I asked when I went in to pay it off - Q Will the warrenty still stand If I pay this off in full now. the answer was - YES. as mentioned on another thread Im getting the LG F4J8FH2W Washer Dryer from JL as soon as brighthouse tells me def. they wont repair it. (it's under review) One would have to be very skint or a fool to use Brghthouse - my item was in a sale and cheap - Now i know why - lol
  20. Did you know that If you buy something off Brighthouse and pay it off early, the warrenty on the goods expires, You are no longer covered. I bought a recon. washing machine off them (cheap) and paid it off within a couple of weeks, the washer died and I'm now told so did the warrenty when I paid it off early.
  21. My main point was - A few years ago everything came with a three year warrenty, if not longer, Is this being reduced to ONE so as, we fork out for the EXTENDED warrenty?
  22. Miele are a great make, but their washer dryers start at £1799 and go up £2799, Just a bt above my budget - If I was 28 again it might be worth it. I'm gong for the LG F4J8FH2W from John Lewis with the £140.00 5 year warrenty.
  23. It doesn't seem to cover £800.00 washer/dryers. only 2 years ie ...... 2 Year Warranty** Costco EXTENDS the manufacturer's warranty to 2 years on Computers, Tablets, Major Appliances/White Goods*, Cameras and Camcorders from the date of purchase (applicable for Tablet and Camera purchases made on or after 1st April 2015 and Major Appliance/White Good purchases made on or after 16th May 2016). What a shame, thought I'd found my store.
