  1. https://www.gov.uk/financial-help-disabled/vehicles-and-transport Read under "Eligibility" And you'll find - The vehicle must be registered in the disabled person’s name or their nominated driver’s name. It must only be used for the disabled person’s personal needs. It can’t be used by the nominated driver for their own personal use. I know what I'm talking about, but everyone makes mistakes sometimes, You are correct, you can pop down the shops etc for the disabled person. you can't use it to go to work. I've ammended the artical and - APOLOGISE
  2. You might be right there. Don't get me wrong, he has no problem paying the card, he just couldn't understand why the first payment after he'd paid £100.00 more than required was always higher than the previous months payment I use the spreadsheet methord as well lol. but my mate is not computer savvy.
  3. the shop in the market used to sell the "Naga" chilli, not sure if they still do
  4. I've never heard of a tribunal being held at the courts, I'll take your word for it, in that case I'd head for the moor and ask the driver to wait while i made sure the mobility scooter I'd rented was avalible. I'd have no choice, and if I can't get the scooter into the court house I'd have to refuse the intrview on the grounds of access. ---------- Post added 17-08-2017 at 19:10 ---------- If they make access to these tribunals hard, you do have a right to change the location.
  5. Chatsworth House is recalling various types of pates and rillettes because of concerns over the manufacturer’s procedures in place to control Clostridium botulinum. The products are manufactured by Cornish Charcuterie and relate to the recall they undertook on 15 August 2017.
  6. As I can see, based on the statments I've seen for every £100.00 he pays, 80/90% is intrest. The total amount owed is reduced by the extra payment + on the following statement, yet the payment goes up, on the statement after this one the payment does down to what he had expected it to be a month earlier. He has phoned the Co. but could not understand what he was told. deliberately confusing he says. Isn't it law that any intrest rate incease must be preceded by notification? he has not been informed of any intrest rate increase. Because the minimum payment includes a token payment off the total amount owed, plus all intrest and charges one would exppect payments to go down every month (unless he used the card). Which is what happens - unless he makes an overpayment then the following payment goes up, then drops on the next statement.
  7. Map here - http://www.streetmap.co.uk/map.srf?x=437206&y=391926&z=0&sv=s5+6ae&st=2&pc=s5+6ae&mapp=map.srf&searchp=ids.srf shows footpaths etc
  8. A mate of mine was hoping I could tell him why is payment went up the following month when he paid over and above the min Payment. He showed me two statements. Statement 1 was a min payment of £110.00 he paid £220.00 yet his next statement went up £10.00. Statement 2 (last month) the min. was £107.00 he paid £187.00 yet his next payment is £117.00. I thought I was good at maths, but this has got me. Any ideas please. NOTE - No purchases were made between payments.
  9. Dla and pip are two different benifits, I presume your claiming pip now! if not put in a claim asap. being refused for one does not mean you will be refused the other. likewise getting one does not mean you will get the other. These test centres all seem to be a long way from a bus stop, one would almost think it was done delberatly Q, how did you get here, A, by bus, Reply you failed, you can walk too far. Yes your payments will be backdated to the time you applied. ---------- Post added 14-08-2017 at 20:55 ---------- If he was your adviser he will know the rules regarding walking, and he should know of your inability to walk, this test centre is one of the best for getting into as if you drive around the back you can cross the pedesterain area and be dropped off right outside the door, he can then go and park up and meet you inside. (This is the one behind Argos isnt it?) he didn't do you any favours parking where he did.
  10. If you are on high rate (enhanced) mobility, meaning you have GREAT difficulty in MOVING/WALKING etc. you can't get your rubbish bins collected and returned, you can't keep your disabled bus pass after the age of 65 (meanng you have restrictions on when you catch a bus. and no travel on trains without paying. If your on the enhanced rate of Daily living , meaning you need help washing dressing, preparing food etc. you can ask for your bin to be collected and returned, you can keep your disability bus pass after the age of 65 giving you unrestricted access to buses and free travel on trains in your area. Surly BOTH groups should be entitled to have there bins collected and have unfettered access to buses and trains.
  11. If you can't walk 20 mtrs you should be on the enhanced rate, that on it's own qualifies you. I'd appeal, but remember you can lose the lot. This is what they rely on to stop people appealing. At one time 80% of the people who appealed WON their case (not sure what it is now, but it's around the same). With enhanced mobility payment you can use it to fund a car, get a blue badge, get free road tax on a car you already own (but, the blue badge CAN'T BE USED WITHOUT THE DISABLED PERSON BEING IN THE CAR.
  12. Standard rate is £22.00 per week, enhanced is £58.00 per week. If your mum has just been awarded standard rate she has the option of appealing this, and then hope she is awarded the higher rate, however the gamble is she could lose it all if she is deemed to be fit. If your mum was awarded it some time ago I believe you can ask for an early review. MOBILITY ACTIVITIES 1. Planning and following journeys. a. 13. with the price of tickets it can go as slow/fast it wants, I won't be on board. super off peak £75.50, off peak £118.50, Anytime £188.00. (return) easier to take the car (if I had one) and if you think HS2 will be cheaper then think again. the price of tickets is in effect a tax on anyone who travels. the gov. sell a franchise for £1b that opperator has to make £1.5b before a train starts running, and where does that money come from - THE TICKET PRICE.

  15. This is the good one i mentioned, couldn't remember the name. ---------- Post added 17-07-2017 at 16:05 ---------- I had a standing order with the internet service provider AOL - I asked to cancel the contract after the alloted time and they kept taking the money out of the bank, for over 6 months, my bank said there was no way I could cancel the payment it had to come from AOL as it was a standing order which gives AOL total control over the payment. I finally stopped it, but only by saying I'd close my bank account. It was a nightmare.

  17. There are two things like this in Sheffield one is the community based one which is quite good, the other is - to my mind VERY EXPENSIVE, can't remember which is which at the mo. but Google them. I was looking to put a few quid away for a rainy day, but even the good one would not let me deposit money via DD, it had to be STANDING ORDER which if you have any sence you'll stay away from.
