  1. We follow everything the Yanks do, except the use of paper bag -why? Was in Prague in November, called into a "Lidl" whilst there and they only had Paper bags, why not here?
  2. Atos and Capita must improve the delivery of Personal Independence Payments (Pip) or face losing their contracts, MP Frank Field has said. "The government is making the important first steps to enable it to get out of a hole of its own making," said the Labour MP. "Having the capacity to bring assessments back in-house will put it in a far stronger position to turn the screws on its hitherto failing contractors, in the interests of claimants and all taxpayers. "This should serve as notice for Atos and Capita to start delivering, or else." https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-politics-44367420 Is this a good thing? I for one was under the impression that Atos and Capita were getting paid for throwing deserving PIP claimants off PIP, not for allowing their claims. lol Seriously though the video interview will go a long was to proving what has been said, though if it catches you on a "Good Day" could it be used to say - look nothing wrong with them?
  3. I've used a "WD My passport ultra" 1 Tb for years now, never had a problem with it, and i'm sure they do a range of sizes inc. 2 Tb.
  4. Jane MacDonald is only one of many acts/entertainment going on in the "winter gardens" during the summer in Blackpool, my point being that just because a venue has the name "Winter" stitched to it somewhere doesn't limit it to that season, there is so much more that could be done with the space besides being a venue for pundits from the snooker.
  5. estivate ? you swallowed a big word -spend a hot or dry period in a prolonged state of torpor or dormancy. - I can't see where the word fits in -in context, I did state both venues were different, but hinted at a similar, forward thinking council would have made/make the most of the WINTER GARDENS. It's great thinking we'll have this, we'll have that, at 30 or 40 Million quid, but they need maintaining 24/7 , this is where were let down, the idea's good, but NO BACK UP.
  6. Are we that short sighted/skint that we can't update an asset to our city? in that case what a waste of money in building it . have a look for Blackpool's WINTER GARDEN - seems they don't recognize the seasons - http://www.wintergardensblackpool.co.uk/whats-on/ I know our place isn't the same, but a few spring/summer plants etc. wouldn't go amiss.
  7. Not one mention of the possible increase in "Fly tipping" these charges could cause. I'd like to know if fly tipping of garden waste went up when Sheffield introduced charges? The cost of clearing up a fly tipping area far out ways the extra revenue they receive from charging for the green bins.
  8. Claimants of the personal independence payment will be able to submit appeals online as part of a Government trial. The personal independence payment (PIP) is designed to help people pay for the extra costs of living with a long-term health condition or disability, and is gradually replacing disability living allowance. PIP applicants could previously only appeal by post, but now, if you live in Bedfordshire, Berkshire, Buckinghamshire, Cambridgeshire, Essex, East Sussex, Hertfordshire, Kent, the Midlands, Norfolk, Oxfordshire or Suffolk, you can submit your appeal online. How to appeal online If you live in Bedfordshire, Berkshire, Buckinghamshire, Cambridgeshire, Essex, East Sussex, Hertfordshire, Kent, the Midlands, Norfolk, Oxfordshire or Suffolk you can now appeal online. After saying which benefit you want to appeal about, you'll be asked to check if you're eligible to apply online. The online appeal form is available at all times, and you can fill it in with the help of another person. Once your appeal is submitted online, it is registered by the next working day and transmitted electronically the same day, which is quicker than post. You can also sign up to receive progress updates by email and text. Not available up here yet, but what do you think, will this work as I hope it does, or another white elephant. It will not help anyone who isn't online. https://www.moneysavingexpert.com/news/family/2018/05/government-trials-online-pip-appeals---check-if-youre-eligible 2 If you live in the Midlands, including Birmingham, you can now appeal a personal independence decision online. The pilot online system allows you to lodge your appeal online instead of filling in and posting an SSCS1 form. You will need: your Mandatory Reconsideration Notice (MRN) your national insurance number details of your representative, if you have one. When you complete the online form you have the option to include your email address so that “You’ll get updates and a link so you can track your appeal online.” Ion addition you can opt to receive text message reminders: “You’ll only get them when you need to do something important, like send evidence or go to the hearing.” You have the opportunity to say what you disagree with in the MRN and why. Instead of a signature you simply type your name in a box. Bizarrely, the terms and conditions you agree to include an undertaking that you will not “knowingly introducing viruses, trojans, worms, logic bombs or other material which is malicious or technologically harmful.” You also have to agree not to “attack this site via a denial-of-service attack or a distributed denial-of-service attack.” https://www.benefitsandwork.co.uk/news/3743-appeal-a-pip-decision-online

  13. Not a problem, thousands do it every day, individuals and company's, that's what makes the world go round. If you under price your item on an auction site, you have only yourself to blame, there are safe guards like "reserved price" etc. so use them. As for company's that buy cheap sell dear try " ANTIQUE DEALERS "
  14. Just seen it trying to get out, both at the nest.
  15. I think thats good news, It was for me, so lets hope so.
  16. They took away my disabled pass when i reached 65, and gave me a pensioner one, WHY? i was disabled before I was a pensioner. I'm now restricted as to what hospital appointments I can except if I want to use my pass.
  17. First decide what type of camera you want, DSLR or Bridge. DSLR one camera many lenses, for wildlife you'll need at lease a 300mm lens and all in all you won't get a lot for a Grand. see the Nikon D5300. Bridge, one camera one lens, Lighter to carry, slightly lower quality photos but not by much, cheaper. see the Nikon P900 or the Panasonic DMC FZ2000/2500
