  1. The lack of a reply from the OP has me a little bit concerned has to how genuine the post is/was.
  2. If you do go down the "Go fund me" route, don't forget to post a link here or no one will know it;s up and running.
  3. £300.00, is that all, start a "go fund me" page and you should get that inside 24hours if I know Sheffield people. I'd throw in a tenner to start, no problem. Good Luck
  4. The maximum legal limit for transporting Cattle, Sheep and pigs is 30C. today's temp on most London tube lines exceeded 32C, with one reaching almost 36C ------It makes you think - don't it
  5. Be careful spending this kind of money, I've always wanted one but this has put me off, and you can guarantee Sheffield council will adopt it. Most-polluting wood burners could be banned in effort to improve UK air quality - The government is planning to bring in tougher regulations on household wood burners and fires in a bit to cut UK air pollution. New legislation will mean that only cleaner fuels and stoves will be sold for domestic heating, under the proposals being put out for consultation. Councils will also be given new powers to bring in "clean air zones" by limiting what people can burn or bringing in "no-burn days". https://www.independent.co.uk/news/uk/home-news/wood-burners-ban-government-legislation-air-pollution-strategy-uk-a8362601.html
  6. I would post this in the "Jobs" section on here. What is stopping the door from opening further? I can only think it's the architrave,If that's the case pulling the hinges out flush with the architrave, which would allow the door to open out flush with the wall but the hinges would then have to be screwed into the joint between the lining and the architrave. not a good idea without gluing the architrave to the lining. you would then have to move the stop bead back up to the edge of the door. Another way which is a bit of a cobble is to fit " Rising butt" hinges which would allow you to just lift the door off it's hinges, move the wheel chair and drop the door back on it's hinges.

  11. Sorry, your right of course, it's free with my mobile, but it is a local call rather than the 0845 number which can cost "Up to 7p per minute, 7p per call or a combination of both. Total 0845 number call costs will typically be anywhere from 11p to 62p per minute, plus up to an additional 7p per-call charge. This means that 0845 numbers will usually cost more to call than a normal landline" - https://www.google.co.uk/search?source=hp&ei=iic2W_2yIKLikgXKwKPIDA&q=0845+numbers+cost&oq=0845+numbers&gs_l=psy-ab.1.0.0i131k1j0l9.2013.7698.0.9764.12.6.0.6.6.0.113.541.5j1.6.0..2..0...1c.1.64.psy-ab..0.12.657....0.BWWrwcilXZw
  12. The thread is Entitled "Real ale pubs showing world cup matches" so real ale, and football are on topic - suggest you stop trolling/ordering people about.
  13. This was a "Heads up" post to stop others falling into the trap of paying for contacting this service, but with your attitude I wonder why I bothered. ---------- Post added 29-06-2018 at 11:12 ---------- Interesting, I've heard of it, but never tried it. must remember it - Thanks
  14. I googled "waste collection Sheffield" and got this page - https://www.google.com/search?q=waste%20collection%20sheffield&ie=utf-8&oe=utf-8&client=firefox-b&npsic=0&rflfq=1&rlha=0&rllag=53387687,-1449609,2136&tbm=lcl&rldimm=10034607813851446424&ved=0ahUKEwjqkoezy_jbAhUqKMAKHSGpDIkQvS4IeDAB&rldoc=1&tbs=lrf:!2m1!1e2!2m1!1e3!3sIAE,lf:1,lf_ui:2#rlfi=hd:;si:10034607813851446424;mv:!1m3!1d405025.5148269652!2d-1.2374414091322024!3d53.250406337948355!3m2!1i401!2i509!4f13.1 it's an 0845 number, and i'm sure others have found this site before finding the free one.
  15. Veolia missed my bin collection, so I wanted to phone them up. on their web site they have a 0845 number (which I have to pay for)......I looked on the council website and contacted Veolia free of charge. I thought making a profit out of phone call for public services were discouraged if not banned. update, by free of charge i mean free on my mobile, it's local call rates for phones that don't give you free local calls. sorry for the mistake.
  16. Police threaten to ARREST Facebook users who mocked them over a post boasting that patrols had seized a tiny amount of cannabis from a youth in a nature reserve West Yorkshire Police officers seized tiny amount of cannabis from a man in a car After sharing a picture of the haul online, they were met with a flurry of criticism Force even threatened jokers with prosecution under malicious communications Police officers threatened to arrest Facebook users who poked fun at their minuscule drugs bust after seizing a tiny amount of cannabis from a man sat in a car. Officers from West Yorkshire Police posted about a 'small quantity' of cannabis they confiscated from a 'young man who was parked up alone' on Tuesday. But their boast was met by a barrage of sarcastic and hilarious comments - which did not sit well with the officers and they threatened to prosecute the jokers. One person commented 'You're a clown', while another questioned 'did you fee the ducks... getting paid for a nice bike ride in the park.' http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-5715727/Police-threaten-ARREST-Facebook-users-mocked-post-tiny-cannabis.html
  17. reviving an oldish thread, went to Asda handsworth today - A 12 pack of oxo cubes £1.00 ----A 24 pack of oxo cubes £2.59. Do they really think we're that thick, the 12 pack wasn't on offer either.
  18. It's quite simple, a building you cant use, protected by a preservation order. and a site that's worth millions.
  19. Two restaurateurs meet after 15 years, Hello Fred said the one, Sorry to hear about the FIRE. Shush said Jim, it's not until next week. It is surprising how many listed buildings catch fire, take Glasgow yesterday, just about to open after the first fire, and BANG another one. It would seem that land is worth more than heritage, by that i mean not all these fires are accidental, nor are they arson without reason (if you get my drift). i'm not saying that this is the case in either of these fires, but it makes you think,
  20. I can't remember saying or writing that, please point it out to me.
  21. Up-skirting is a legitimate bill, He objects to, basically "Private members bills" he wants "Due Process" i'm sure he will vote for it when it comes up the second time around when everyone in house has the choice to be there or not. ---------- Post added 16-06-2018 at 20:51 ---------- He should be Applauded for his insistence in "Due process" . if it wasn't for him and his ilk governments would erode our freedom (what ever's left) without a blink of an eye. Note how many people know about the bill NOW! that's why he objected to it - so people can have their say first.
  22. The MP did not as such object to the Bill as such, what he did object to was the way it was trying to be passed in the house, without due process, as pointed out, he has done this for quite a few "Private members bills" . basically a PMB can go through into law without any warning to the house that, that PMB is going to be introduced that day, so on a very quiet day it could proposed that corner shops can no longer sell milk, no one objects and it's passed into law. by objecting he has ensured it goes through the proper channels, where it will be discussed by the whole house. That's how I read it (could be wrong) Anyway the bill is going to be re- introduced and when it is it is almost certain to be passed onto law.
  23. Ingredients 250g jumbo porridge oats 125g butter 125g light brown sugar 2-3 tbsp golden syrup (depending on how gooey you want it) Method Heat oven to 200C/180C fan/gas 6. Put all the ingredients in a food processor and pulse until mixed, but be careful not to overmix otherwise the oats may lose their texture. Lightly grease a 20x20cm baking tin with butter and spoon in the mixture. Press into the corners with the back of a spoon so the mixture is flat and score into 12 squares. Bake for around 15 minutes until golden brown.
  24. https://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/b0b5qgp0 It appears to be manly concerned with those claiming for mental health issues, four months ago the DWP were taken to court over there refusal to award pip to the mentally ill, The DWP did not contest the court case leaving the door open for people to claim. However since that court case 4 months ago the DWP still haven't updated their rules and Regs. so all claimants are still being assessed with the old rules. It also stated that no one would be paid before the END OF SUMMER if they are entitled, however those that fail or are not entitled to an increase will NOT BE INFORMED of that decision. Personally I think I'd re-apply it I hadn't heard anything after a couple of months, and re-apply again if i'm ignored, I can't see any rules saying you can only apply once.
