  1. Citroen, Peugeot, Ford, Volvo, Mazda. Mini as well I think Avoid anything pre 2010 with that engine in it! Google "black death" and the dv6 engine
  2. At which point the emergency service won't be able to reach the scene of the accident, as all four lanes will be rammed with cars with nowhere to go.
  3. I notice that the distance between the overhead gantries is much greater than is found elewhere, for instance the M42. Same applies to the refuge areas. Only issue I can see is where a vehicle becomes stranded between the gantries, any vehicle travelling behind may not get sufficient warning of the stranded vehicle (since they have already passed the overhead signs). This would be more of an issue when it's dark and in bad weather, especially if that vehicle has no power to lights. I don't understand why they chose to make this section permanent 4 lane running, and not use the hard shoulder for peak use only as they have elsewhere. Obviously we run this risk already on dual carriageways, but until now motorways always had somewhere to stop out of the live carriageway.
  4. Funny story, I went to a breakers yesterday to grab a part for my car. In the car I was pulling the part from, I found £14 in loose change! So there is money to be made!
  5. Not the injectors - swap the coil onto another cylinder and see if the fault moves with it. Those coil packs do fail and are relatively inexpensive. Check which cylinder is actually cylinder one though - those Frenchies sometimes have Cyl 1 closest to the gearbox.
  6. If you're feeling brave, there's free on street parking down the petrol station end of Scotland street.
  7. Have to agree with you there, there are a lot of dog sausages pretty much everywhere And the Sothall entrance - under the bridge is like someone set off a dog pee chemical bomb!
  8. Surely got to be more expensive to retrofit - would mean lifting up the floor upstairs to wire them all in. If you're forking out loads for a new build, you need to be insisting they install them as part of the deal (probably should have done that before paying the deposit though!)
  9. Still can't see the appeal of that land myself for developing into log cabins etc. It backs onto a railway line and a busy road. Not exactly isolated, like Center Parcs in Sherwood Forest is it?
  10. Why not run a fused supply direct to the battery, much like you'd do for the 12v supply for towing electrics.
  11. As has been said above, 30 min drive from So'ton for the forest where you can see the usual stuff - Lyndhurst, Brokenhurst, Burley, Beaulieu (and the motor museum), Bucklers Hard, Lepe country park etc. Even the historic dockyard in Portsmouth is worth a visit, and if you like Skeggy (on a small scale) you can soak up the ambiance of Southsea seafront! Only decent beaches are to the west of Southampton - it's shingle city everywhere else. The Isle of Purbeck is especially nice (as mentioned), but it'll take forever to get there!
  12. All the time there are clowns advertising on Facebook to clear gardens for £30 and a cup of tea, this is going to get worse.
  13. Ask how long they guarantee their work for!
  14. Wants to go to a derv specialist, could be that one or more injectors are naff
  15. If it's a CRV, 4WD selection is automatic when it detects wheel slip. You can't manually override it.
  16. I've seen these on cars around my way as well Little blue post it notes Odd
  17. Agreed, no bath is going to put a lot of families off straight away - which is most of your target audience. I'd also look to get the garden photos retaken on a sunny day at noon - those photos make it appear as if it never sees the Sun (i appreciate the the photos were taken in the Winter). May also be worth retaking the lounge photos, without that foot stool and the single armchair to the right. It looks too crowded at the moment. Price...it's got to come down to compete with similar 3 beds in the area. No point in placing it up against similarly aged / styled 4 bed houses, given the choice which would you buy?
  18. Get on eBay and look for similar cars - Focus, Astra etc around that age. I reckon that car you mention is about £500 overpriced for that age / mileage.
  19. I notice it's been funny this afternoon as well, i guess they've not quite fixed it yet!
  20. Yeah, it died around 11pm last night and came back on at 8:15 Damn annoying!
  21. Last summer, pretty much everywhere preferred euros over lira. If it was me, I wouldn't bother with lira
  22. Until they arrange new insurance and has to answer 'yes' when asked if they've ever had insurance cancelled £££££
  23. The last cinema closed as nobody used it, can't see that anyone would risk opening a new one!
  24. Of course i can....pick up child and walk away. As for the asking them to stop / delete photos.....you're confusing me with the OP. Still, this whole thread has gone OTT anyway. My point is that i wouldn't be comfortable with an unknown individual walking up to my child in a public place, and taking a photo where they are the subject material. Feel free to tell me how I'm paranoid (again) or remind me of the legalities (again), it isn't going to change how i feel.
