  1. Well its been nine weeks now and still no confirmed sightings of Angel. Dawn has done a great job in getting her story out into the media - she was on the Alan Titchmarsh show earlier in the week and I think she has also helped to draw attention to the number of dogs that go missing or are stolen every year. I just wish that whoever has Angel or even who took her would do the right thing and give Dawn a clue as to where she is. If you are reading this please listen to your conscience - what you did was wrong. Yes there are lots of unwanted pets out there but Angel isn't one of them - she is dearly loved and as much a part of the family as a child - you have caused numerous people huge grief by you actions - have a heart and help her come home - please.
  2. Its been seven weeks today and still no news On the bright side the Facebook (https://www.facebook.com/FindMissingAngel), twitter and media campaign is still going strong, in fact getting stronger each day - just last night Dawn was on the BBC radio talking about Angel - and every day Dawn gets calls of possible sightings. One day she will get THE call.
  3. Just read on Angel's FB page https://www.facebook.com/FindMissingAngel that Dawn has got the DNA profiles of her parents and litter mates to help with identifying her dog as a back up to the chip- will be very helpful if someone has decided to dock her tail to try to disguise her. Spotty dog just in case we've missed any GSP groups on FB would you mind posting the links to any you've found on here or on Angels FB page please?
  4. There has apparently been a pointer found at Brinsworth yesterday. A lady has told Dawn that she was told the dog had been caught and taken to the police but the police have no record and the kennels Dawn has been able to contact have no info either. It possible that the dog was returned to its rightful owner without the authorities becoming involved, however it is also a concern that the dog may have have been passed to someone who is not its rightful owner. Obviously we'd like to get to the bottom of the story - has anyone heard anything about a dog being found on New Years Eve in Brinsworth?
  5. ParkyJ thanks for your message. I've tried to reply but am getting a message to say your mailbox is full so you need to delete some before I can send mine!
  6. Dawn is doing a great job getting Angel into the media and was interviewed on BBC radio Sheffield yesterday http://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/p011n7d6 You can hear her about 1h23mins in.
  7. Thank you all for your help in spreading the word - the more people that know about her, the more people that will know she's missing if they see her trotting down the road.
  8. There was a possible sighting of her yesterday running along hard shoulder of M1 close to Junction 38 towards Barnsley.
  9. There has been absolutely no sign of Angel since she went missing and the owner wants to circulate the information that she is now offering a reward of £3000 for her safe return. This is someone's pet and the owner and her young family are devastated. Surely someone must have some information as to what might have happened to her??
  10. Starlet83, thank you for the offer - those phone numbers would be very useful. smudge74, I'm pleased to hear word is getting around. There are ads going in the local press this week which hopefully will widen the circulation.
  11. Hi, yes we've tried the kennels but will keep trying in the hope that someone finds her and hands her in. The reward fund is now in four figures. German shorthaired pointers are a fairly small breed group compared to say, labradors or spaniels, but its heartening to see how everyone is pulling together to get her home. We've got ads going in the shooting and local press, postering and twittering like crazy to get her beautiful face well known.
  12. Thanks Muddy Paws, at least word is getting out and the more people that know about her the more likely she'll be found.
  13. Thanks Irene, she's on Doglost already but wasn't on the Sheffield RSPCA site, but is now And sazzlebrin thanks for the PM - I don't have enough posts to reply by PM!
  14. A friend lost her three year old German Shorthaired Pointer bitch yesterday on a walk near Cawthorne Basin. My friend is absolutely distraught, she spent much of yesterday and last night searching for her but there has been no sign. Could I please ask if folks could keep an eye out for her and spread the word, not just in that area but everywhere in the region as she might have gone further afield. Many thanks. THERE IS A £10000 REWARD OFFERED FOR HER SAFE RETURN.
