Hi All, Here at Ben's Centre we've had a New Year crisis in which we have been hit by robbers once again! They have now visited us four times to steal our pipe works amongst other things. However this time they have cut a water pipe and left it running all throughout the festive period.. Our centre is now flooded and completely unusable for the foreseeable future. Thousands of pounds worth of damage has been caused and we are devastated. Staff and volunteers are in the process of trying to offer a limited service to our clients who are among the most vulnerable in Sheffield. Unfortunately our building is not inhabitable at the moment and it is a struggle; not a great start to the new year! A MASSIVE THANK YOU Just to say a massive thank you to all who have offered donations/dropped off donations and general support throughout our community for our client Xmas meal! This is the second year we have used Sheffield Forum in a bid to help put together our meal and it was as successful and as brilliant as the previous year. 2 years ago we really struggled with donations for our Xmas lunch but Sheffield Forum has come up trumps and we can't thank you all enough. Hi Thanks so much for getting back to us. Fleeces are brilliant; any shape, size and colour! Our clients will be extremely grateful. Our client Xmas meal is this Friday and currently we don't have much food for it. A turkey crown would be wonderful; or any piece of meat to be honest! We have about 25-30 mouths to feed. Potatoes, sprouts, yorkshire puddings, carrots would all be great. Ben's Centre

So..CAN YOU HELP (POSSIBLY AGAIN) ? Ben’s Centre is a unique charity (Charity Number: 1087606) that provides day services for Sheffield homeless and most vulnerable people in our community. We are a small charity based project in Sheffield City Centre and we depend on generous donations for our livelihood. As Christmas is fast approaching we would love to be able to provide a sense of warmth and celebration to some of Sheffield's most lonely, isolated and often desperate individuals. In such circumstance we would love to give our clients a festive Christmas lunch in the coming weeks. We cannot however achieve this without the generosity of Sheffield people. As Winter seems to be well and truly here with nights getting darker and temperatures dropping we need your help! Our clients desperately need to try and keep warm and generous clothes donations have been essential in getting them through the cold nights BUT we are extremely short on male winter gloves and sleeping bags. Do you have one too many pairs and could donate some to our most vulnerable? Gloves you've got for Christmas and never used/don't like? a sleeping bag used at a festival that you no longer need? We would love to have them. If you can help that would be wonderful. We are located just off West St opposite Tesco (Orange Street) and open Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday from 10.00am-4.00pm.
