  1. Having spent a lot of time at the children's over the last few years, I found the best place to park is down Marlborough road and the surrounding streets £2 for 4 hours.be careful tho as the wardens patrol regularly, so make sure you're not late back xx
  2. Well my son's op a month ago went well.he had the packing removed yesterday. His hearing is very bad at the minute, hopefully this will improve.he still has a lot of bleeding and leaking as they did a meatoplasty at the same time (very neat but really sore)to try and stop the c-toma returning. He's also on antibiotics for another month and microsuction every 2 weeks for the next couple of months. Fingers crossed that it doesn't return as the next step is quite drastic (the mastoid would be removed and the cavity filled with belly fat and sealed off completely)it's not something they like to do on a patient so young. We are hopeful that the meatoplasty helps tho.
  3. Thank you silly, he is putting on a brave face but he is struggling xx
  4. My son's appointment last week had them all worrying that something else may be going on as well as the disease, as a polyp that was tiny the previous week had grown considerably (so much that they couldn't see past it) His operation has been brought forward as much as possible and will be on the 15th May. This will be his 4th time. Fingers crossed it's his last xx
  5. Thanks for you r kind words medusa, we are absolutely devastated that he has to go through this again, he's been so strong. Yes silly, it sounds like my son. Thank you so much for your support, it's good to hear from someone that's actually gone through it. Thank you xx
  6. Here we go again!!! Cholesteatoma has returned in my lads left side (again). This will be the fourth time he has had it, the third on his left side. They have been trying to clear infection and dry the ear but it's just not been possible to keep the disease at bay. He has to go every week for microsuction until surgery (sometime in the next few weeks) to try n keep it under control. He does everything he's supposed to, keeps it dry, hairdryer daily, no cotton buds etc. I really wish I could take it away for him xx
  7. Have you looked on the German shepherd rescue website? http://www.uk-gsr.co.uk They have some beauties on there in need of forever homes. I got my Bruce from them and he is absolutely amazing. X
  8. I used the Kitchen Gallery at Heeley. They were absolutely great, had to completely gut the kitchen n start from scratch. It looks great x

  12. In with the fruit/veg u put in as much liquid (water, fruit juice, milk) as u like. I don't like mine too thick so tend to add more water n a bit of ice. Xx
  13. Much better than any blender. My fave is mixed berries, banana, spinach n almonds. Berries, banana, kale and protein powder. Cucumber, green Apple n spinach. Very easy to clean x
  14. The launderette opposite the big tree on woodseats. Had my super king size feather duvet cleaned there. Was very cheap (about £15 if I remember correctly) and collected it same day. Fantastic service x
  15. Really enjoyed Derek, pure brilliance!! His face when he was eating his cheese on toast had me in stitches! ?
  16. They know what they're doing there mate. For the sake of £20 you may as well let them do it. X
  17. My lad did this to his recently. I took it in to the fone shop at handsworth (opposite side of the roundabout from asda) He charged me £20 and I got it back following day. I had been quoted around £80 elsewhere, goodness knows how much Apple would charge.
  18. WOW!!!My lad now has his BAHA, n what a fantastic piece of kit it is!! He's still getting used to it but loving it already. Has a special gadget to sync to his phone/iPad n music/calls etc go straight to his BAHA........No more music shaking the house lol Unfortunately his left ear is still causing problems and is extremely wet. He has to Have fortnightly microsuction for the next 3 months to try and dry it out. Fingers crossed!!@ Hope the rest of you are well xx

  20. He really is wonderful medusa. He's settled in so well, its like he's always been here. Everyone that meets him falls in love with him. He's really sociable n has loads of doggy mates in graves park. He's just a joy x
  21. We have just had the same experience. Earlier this year we were devastated when we lost Amber our gsd. We decided to adopt a gsd between 1 & 2 years so out of puppy stage but still young enough to 'mould' into our perfect pet. We were introduced to Bruce by the gsd rescue, they had got him from the pound so knew nothing about him. He is an absolute star!! So easy going, friendly, obedient. .. I can't believe that such a fabulous dog would end up there. Their loss our gain x
  22. No its not. Cash machines give out notes n who's to say there is a post office or shop nearby thats open? BTW I find it annoying when people pay with notes n hold the queue up but sometimes its not possible to get change, thats just life x
  23. If you don't know how much the correct fare is then how can you make sure you have the right change? Also not everyone has a purse full of change now days as switch/debit cards are much easier. They tend to just get cash from the cash point as and when they need it. Sometimes getting change isn't an option. X
