  1. Its a very long time Since I rode around here but I used to enter Beeley woods on Claywheels lane (where Abbey forged products is now) and not take the obvious path along the riverside but head off up another path at an angle to what we called the middle path, then take another path uphill to the top path which came out on Jawbone just above the entrance to Wharncliffe woods. You would have to have an off road bike to do this though, its way too bumpy for a road bike.
  2. They used to use it as a clay shooting club house but it closed down years ago.
  3. theres already a very good cycle route from Stocksbridge to Hillsborough, through Wharncliffe woods and Beeley woods absolutely no traffic to contend with either.
  4. I see three most mornings, all dressed in black, one well lit up, one with no back light just reflectors on the pedals and a front light and one with lights front and back but she has mounted the rear light on the seat stem and put a massive great mudguard on that covers it and makes it impossible to see till you are about 10 feet behind her.
  5. I had my wallet stolen in Tenerife a couple of years ago, walking back to the hotel an African man came up to me waving a leaflet for a bar around, this happens often on holiday so I didn't think anything about it, I felt a slight touch at the side of my leg and he ran off, somehow he had unbuttoned my pocket and got my wallet out.
  6. and there you have it, the objective of the council planners.
