  1. Hi there I work for Sheffield Futures and the team which undertakes this work is a multi-agency service called Community Youth Teams (CYT). The reason we get in touch with a young person is to ask the young person we are working with if they are in education, employment or training. We are required to do this by the government. Our aim is to help the young person into education, employment or training. To clarify what we do and the process we take, all our CYT staff are required to wear their identification badge which is shown when the worker makes a house call. Before this even happens though, the CYT worker will try to make contact with the young person via a phone call. If the young person cannot be contacted this way, the young person will receive a letter which gives the young person another opportunity to provide the information needed. The worker will never call round a young person's home without first phoning or writing to them. Once a call has been made to a young person's home and the young person is still not available, the CYT worker will leave service information and contact details. Above all, this is about providing an opportunity for the young person to get the right help should they need it. Thanks
  2. Hello - it opens at 11am and closes when most things are gone :-) (around 4-ish most likely) :-) look forward to seeing you there!
  3. It's nearly here, the Ding Dong festive fair with the feel good factor. Your £1 entry also gets you entry into a prize raffle draw. 100% of your donation will go to Homeless and rootless at Chrismas (HARC). Volunteers will be helping you to enjoy a lovely Christmassy experience, relax with a cuppa & a mince pie with Xmas music and have a browse around the festive gifts, books & vintage women's clothing as well as pre-loved women's clothes & accessories. All in warm modern surroundings just a step away from the bustling christmas shopping crowds at The Circle off Division St, near to Costa coffee shop. We look forward to seeing you there! :-) x Emma Taylor at the youth charity, Sheffield Futures
  4. Woo hoo! We at Sheffield Futures are having a Ding Dong! A festive fundraiser fair that is! 100% of the £1 entry fee to public is to go to local charity HARC (Homeless and Rootless at Christmas). There is a prize draw too with prizes having been donated by Sainsburys, Lush & Meadowhall. Stalls are £35 each for a 6'x6' space complete with table to be held in the warm cosy space of The Circle on Rockingham Lane (near to Costa coffee shop off Division Street). Booked stall holders are selling new gifts for Christmas, Books, Vintage women's party-wear, pre-loved modern style women's clothing & accessories plus mince pies & hot drinks. There will be Christmas music & a great fun atmosphere - it has been possible by the kind support of volunteers from both Universities plus promotion via local press of Sheffield Star & Telegraph, social media (Facebook & Twitter) as well as website at If you're interested in taking a stall please call or email me: emma.taylor@sheffieldfutures.org.uk 0114 201 2815 or mobile 07772 887 628
