hi jan2002 i have read your message from 2005 i think it was ,about tracing the holmes family , i think we may be related as i have just traced my family to running the pub you are talking about on corporation street i would appreciate any help you could give me in getting any further back my gr gr gr grandad was thomas james holmes and he lived there with caroline holmes:) cheers

Hi All anyone got any info about the crown & anchor on corporation street, my gr , gr , gr , grandad ran it according to the 1871 census his name was Thomas holmes and his wife caroline
