  1. Obviously a disgruntled shop worker who has had a complaint or two
  2. I always price up my shopping with a calculator and it's suprising how many times it's more at the till than on the calc
  3. Stealing from a skip never heard something so pathetic if it's in a skip it's obviously ready to be disposed of what difference does it makes if they can take it and make a bit of money for themselves and there family??
  4. SYP alert all residents there is an ongoing critical incident on Chesterfield road all residents of derbyshire lane are asked to make sure all doors and windows are closed https://m.facebook.com/southyorkshirepolice?refid=52
  5. To anyone saying don't get protein powder etc. Do any of you do any kind of heavy weight training? Yes if you just want general fitness you can do it on a normal diet but if you want to pack on some lean muscle and get a bigger frame it's so hard to get all your nutrients in from diet only the thing is these are called SUPPLEMENTS I.e to supplement a healthy diet so yeah eat as healthy as you can get plenty of protein and leafy greens and grains also don't be afraid of fats as fats are essential for a healthy body so nuts pulses whole milk red meat all good for getting gains as the op states he wants and remember that if you want to gain muscle your body must be in a caloric surplus you can train as hard as you want but If you don't get in caloric surplus what is your body going to use to build NEW muscle? Matrix nutrition do a good protein called anabolic matrix you can pick it up on eBay from the supplement centre for about £50 delivered for a 5kg tub and the good thing is it's 5kg and one scoop has 40g of protein some of the other protein powders have big tubs like this but you would have to take at least 2 scoops for the same protein which obviously isn't good value
  6. Tbh it's a hard one and I dont really have an answer for you generally just go with someone who's been recommended by a trusted friend but gut instinct can go a long way too. But all being said some of the more professional looking setups can be just as likely to leave poor work or provide poor service
  7. I hardly think mac is trying to start a cartel. I have no problem with free trade an competition in pricing but on this forum there are a lot of chancers and unskilled people undercutting legit tradesman. Think of it this way of someone is qualified in business administration and goes for an advertised job worth 15000 a year then some chancer who thinks "well I can do a bit of typing" then comes in and says I'll do it for 12000 and then all the other chancers come in I'll do it for 11000 etc etc soon enough you're working for less than minimum wage. How I see it is anyone can come in and give the cheapest price but that doesn't mean they will be there to do the work or be there if something gies wrong with the job afterwards.
  8. I agree with mac you have to see a job too know how much it will be you get customers telling you Walls are fine then when you get there there are bits back to brick or bits blown and on the other hand you get em telling you the Walls are knackered when in reality they are totally fine with a few screwholes in where there pictures have been up etc
  9. Peak vets on Olivet road are the friendliest cheapest and caring vets I've had the pleasure to use can't recommend them highly enough
  10. Zero hours contracts are wrong it's not fair on the people who are on them how are people supposed to run a house on a zero hours contract? The government should do away with them and I guarantee the firms won't go bust they will just be more choosy on who they employ which is fair enough
  11. Get an accountant keep all petrol receipts all equipment receipts etc etc keep a record of where you have worked what you've earned take to accountant pay him £300 let him do it get bill pay bill rinse and repeat ---------- Post added 30-08-2013 at 22:56 ---------- You will also need a unique tax reference number as some bigger companies like to pay you after deducting your tax and sending it to inland revenue themselves and paying you after tax and tbh if you can get on good run with a firm like that it's ideal as a good whack of your tax will be paid already
  12. I've pm'ed you Galloway had a postponement on an extension next week got a couple of free days
