  1. I attended Abbeydale High School. It was on the corner of Bannerdale and Carterknowle Road, It was a private school for all ages. I left about 1956 but my brother also attended sometimes the 60's. Miss meays was the headmistress and miss good the deputy head,. I also remember a miss Philips,. Hope this helps.
  2. I attended in the 60s when it was all girls. Ms Garrison was PE teacher then. Sounds as though she got worse in 70s.
  3. Steve didn't quite make it at football, not for the want of trying. Was on United and Chesterfields books and played a couple of times for Halifax. Now hoping his gransons will make it instead. (We have 2 daughters that play Netball although 1 worked at Sheffield Wednesday for a few years). Steve hopes that you and your families are all doing well.
  4. Thanks Hillsboro for the information. Can now contact an old schoolfriend not seen for 30 years. Thanks again
  5. I'm looking for my old friend Beryl. She lived on Ravencarr Road, Lover Manor. Went to King Ecgberts School. I met her a long time ago when she was Landlady at the Fleur de Lis in Totley. I do not know her married name but would like to get in touch again as would another muntual friend who also travelled to school with us. If anyone can help it would be much appreciated.
  6. My husband is Steve Gervis and he lived at 66 Amberley street until 1968 when he moved on to Manor Park. He is the eldest and has 5 brothers and 2 sisters. Dennis, Mick, Linda, Sylvia, Gary, Martin and Darren(the youngest born on Manor Park). Went Carbrook and Colridge road schools.
