  1. I agree with you 100% .Every time we eat out I can bet some screaming little brat or brats spoil the evening. We try different places and think great no kids the next time we go its full of them.Chasing round play tiggy under the tables banging into your chair and the parents look at you as if you should be enjoying it.Oh I do wish for the old days when kids were not allowed in pubs. Perhaps I should start handing out Durexs next time we go out,may be they will take a hint.
  2. It gives me great pleasure for you to admit that I am superior.but you are telling me something I already knew
  3. Listen Top Hat or what ever your name is .It is obvious that your priority is Swfc .In your eyes and in your little world nothing else matters nothing else exists.Out there 96 people died at Swfc ground. Now this might come as a shock to you so I think you should sit down.Ninety six deaths are a little bit more important than eleven prima donnas running about on a peace of grass. Please dont call me pal I think your little world and your mind are not big enough to be of any concern to me.Keep wearing the blinkers . ---------- Post added 28-04-2014 at 19:52 ---------- Would the insurance pay out knowing the stadium had not got a compulsory safety certificate .Is your car insurance valid if your car is being driven without a test certificate when it is required to have one I dont think so.
  4. Is he the one who looks like a second hand car salesman with all the gold .The one who said he would not leave Sheffield Wednesday for anything and then walked out on them?
  5. You are 100% correct that the purpose of the inquest is to find out how those poor people died and what factions came to gether to cause those unforgettable scenes.I am sure the families will have a good legal team to come to compensation decisions once the inquest returns its verdicts and point out what in their view was responsible for the carnage .No body at this stage could put a figure on how much a young life is worth. That would be a decision made by a judicial court if their is somebody or some organisation held responsible .They may be more than one body held responsible who knows yet? Has for insurance they may well have cover but will that cover be valid if they were found to be operating the stadium with out a current safety certificate .I am sure you know insurance companies do not need much of a excuse to find a way of not paying out.Another point raised is that the present owners were not there at the time of the tragedy .Well I know of a few people who have claimed compensation for industrial related conditions from companies who they have worked for some forty years ago.Conditions such as industrial deafness and asbestos related diseases .Many of these firms have been bought over by other companies some have disappeared some time ago but all claims have been payed. As you say the claims would be met by insurance companies but I would think only if the company was operating lawfully .Now we come back to the safety certificate. You might think I am having a pop and scoring points .I have kids of my own and can not imagine what those parents were thinking when watching the tele and seeing their kids being crushed to death .My heart goes out to every one of them and hope they get the justice they are entitled to and that if anybody or any organisation is to blame they are made to pay for that awful day.
  6. Whats ten quid buy you nowadays
  7. All aspects of what happened that day are to be investigated .I think you will find that the new inquest was called for because there seemed to be some cohesion or alteration of reports which were offered has evidence to the original inquest. This new inquest will nullify the original one so the passage of time rule will not apply when the summing up the evidence. The blow I referred to could be financial if the victims families thought that operating with out a safety certificate the ground was operating unlawful.I am not saying this will be proven at the hearing but I would not be to surprised if someone came to this conclusion there for leaving the company [sWFC] open to maybe a claim.
  8. Wheres the money coming from?
  9. It has every thing to do with Sheffield Wednesday football club.People come and go from all sorts of organisations but the company is still responsible and has a duty to be accountable for accidents which causes injury or in this case death to people on their property.Just because it has taken so long for this to be brought to a conclusion it does not mean S.W.F.C. can say we have got other people at the helm its nothing to do with us .If they feel the club has shown negligence by operating with out a safety certificate I think you will find SWFC and not any particular person will take the blow.
  10. It did not happen at Anfield .It happened at a stadium that did not have a current safety certificate which could be very dodgy when deciding who was to blame. And can not imagine the heartache these families went through and are still going through. They would gladly give back any compensation to have their loved ones back who ever has to pay it.And to suggest that they would not blame Liverpool FC if it happened at Anfield if they were found to be at fault is a insult to the poor families. It infers that they think more about the football club than their loved ones which in my view is very insulting, what a terrible thing to suggest.
  11. He might be worried about the outcome of the latest inquest of the disaster hearing which if it goes the wrong way could be costly.
  12. Could not agree more. Are we allowed to say this I would hate to upset anybody:hihi:
  13. Only because the team knew you were playing a superior outfit and they raised their game.I shall just sit back now and wait for the replies.A size 4 hook with a big juicy maggot on it.
  14. The best thing Cloughie could do is pin a copy of Hulls forum on the dressing room wall .He would not have to give a team talk.Being taken for granted would surely be the perfect G up.Just like the teams in the previous rounds they are counting their chickens before they have hatched very dangerous, but that should suit the Blades.Hope the team thinks like the fans.
  15. The blades have played those garbage teams teams Like Forest .and Charlton as well as Gillingham .You lot struggled against the mighty Macclesfield then came accross these garbage teams ,can you remind us how you lot went on and how do you think you would have faired against Fulham and Villa. Good luck to the Millers in the play offs ,I will be rooting for you.If you succeed I know off six easy points for you next season, once again good luck.
  16. After last nights showing they could always send the kids in to europe .They made short work of the owls a fortnight ago and they looked great last night. The future looks very promising they certainly know how to turn them out at Shirecliffe .Good luck to Rotherham in the play offs, always had a soft spot for the Millers not to sure about the manager . If only dreams came true.
  17. Hi.My mother was born in 1922 and her father was Dom Monfredi .She was born out of wedlock which in those days was a big issue .All so I went to school with a Raymond Bird at Hatfield House Lane secondary modern school in the sixties .I also worked at Frankern Motors which was situated at the top of Baker Street down the Cliff. What a small world it is .
  18. I agree it was a marvellous run .More than anybody could have wished for considering the position they were in.If anybody could have offered them tenth place six weeks ago I am sure they would have bit their hand off.Well done the Blades and you have a very capable manager beware of other clubs who might want to entice him away he is your biggest asset maybe a chip off the old block.
  19. It is the first time I have switched Toby off. This morning was the last straw when talking about when the mothers waters broke when I was tucking in to my cornflakes. Also who had the biggest .I can just picture it.Oh my god no more please, please, please no more.
  20. I agree totally .I for one could not wait to welcome Toby back but I thought it was only me who is finding it boring. All the discussions seem to be about kids .I may be over doing it when I said all but a very large percentage of the chat is kids and kids and kids. Please lets get back to some interesting topics and interviews [Donny mayor springs to mind]or I may have to join others in to trying to find something not as boring.I hope not come on Toby I know you can get back on track.Heres hoping from a fan.
  21. Not at all how mean do you think I am?I can understand how upset you must be being labeled a Owl .Please accept my genuine apologies I am so sorry :
  22. Oh dear five bites I was not expecting that Oh dear how sad never mind :some people are so predictable dont you think?
  23. Its official the most envious supporters are SWFC another boring season .Do not fall asleep watching the match tonight .Is that why they have that dreadful band so nobody can sleep.or is it to drown out the sound of snoring.I stress no animal pun intended.
