We have had a Franke sink in now for around 30 years and it is still in tip top condition. Can't beat quality. Mind you like Lab-rat says they aren't cheap but worth it in the long run.

Crookes is a nightmare, there is hardly any road left and avoiding potholes is sometimes impossible because of parked cars and cars coming the other way. On the bright side they have started doing the street lights, so maybe they will be starting the road soon, it was scheduled for 2015, Here's hoping.

I have only just joined FB and I have reconnected with my cousins in Dundee, and also Australia. I am friends with my niece in South Africa, so I would say it is a good medium for a lot of things, but not 24/7.

Does anyone ever ask what qualifications these Councillors have that makes them qualified to run such a large budget?

I hear the Queen is visiting the Cathedral tomorrow to give out the Maundy money. I thought it would be a good idea if she were to go via Crookes, then we might have got our main road done, don't suppose she will tho' !!!

I quite agree with you. The building (in my opinion) is hideous, and like you said a much more conventional building would have done just the same job, and cost much less, I really don't know who thought that particular design would look appropriate. If they have that much spare cash they could have helped clear and grit the pavement outside the university on Western Bank, and let the gritters get round to some of our side roads, (where a lot of their students live.) if they are that concerned about their students.

Its a good job doctors, nurses care workers and other essential jobs don't have the same mindset as some people, mind you some jobs are more important than others. My daughter is a care worker and has walked to work the last two mornings, she just can't sit at home and worry about whether she will get paid or not, old people need to e looked after no matter what the weather is.

I have just got home after a couple of days in, including an operation. I cannot fault any of the staff there, I went on to Hadfield 7 afterwards, and how they cope with so few staff is unbelievable, there are patients calling for nurses all day and night, and the nurses, mostly have a smile on their faces, I really don't know how they do it. So a thumbs up from me. By the way the food seems to have improved greatly since I was in four years ago.

I cant believe that the gritters were clearing and gritting the pavements around the University on Western Bank, they should have been concentrating on getting the side roads done so as people can get out and about in their cars instead of blocking a lot of the main routes with their cars i.e. Walkley Lane. Any one any idea why they would be doing the pavements round there instead of some of the side roads around Crookes and Walkely?

WE have BT Infinity and have had for years with no problems, this last few days we have had major problems. the internet keeps going down, not just the WiFi but the main computer as well. They said they had problems, but they were now fixed, but it went down again last night, and all day it is intermittent, has anyone else experienced problems in the Crookes area, or is it just us, in which case we will have to get them out to fix it Thanks

I can't understand why they have to have 24hr bus lanes, we don't have 24hr buses.

I don't like any of the political party leaders, they all make promises and when they get in power, they are like different people, just in it for themselves. If UKIP do garner enough votes at the general election, (I don't think they will gain many seats) perhaps it will make the other three main parties sit up and take notice - then again maybe not.

I always thought 12 noon and 12 midnight were neither pm or am, but one second after was. I know I am using the 12 hour clock just to show the point.

I have read through this whole thread and this is the only mention of Ched Evans actually doing something right for once. I think he should step back, look at the damage he is causing, and just say sorry I am going to leave and let the club get back on an even footing. I don't know if he is guilty or not, but I do think he is causing the most damage to the club by staying there, not the sponsors, Ennis Hill or anyone else

I had the problem with my iphone 4 and I've still got the problems with my iphone 6.

I am having problems with my iphone 4g Sometimes in the middle of a call it cuts out and says call failed. Other times people cant call me they just get the usual message, Sorry cannot connect at this time. I have looked on the coverage map and it says coverage is perfect (no its not) Has anyone else had any problems in this area. Its getting to be really annoying. I have been on o2 for over ten years, and its just this last 6 months or so that I have been having this problem.

The point I was trying to make was, she associated every ailment with weight. Migraine and tennis elbow are two completely different complaints whereas arthritis is arthritis wherever it is in the body.

Our doctors on the whole are ok A couple make you feel like you are wasting their time. One of them is obsessed by weight, and fair enough I am a bit overweight, not much and I have arthritis in my knee, due to an accident, I also have it in my hands, so she told me that if I lost weight it would be a lot better, so I asked if it would help the arthritis in my hands, obviously she didn't have an answer for that.
