  1. Sue Perkins. She stinks of a desperate middle aged woman going through a crippling mid-life crisis desperately trying to be funny and hip with the kids but just ends up failing miserably and embarrasses herself, her co-presenters and the sad audience all at the same time. She's alright on Bake Off though.
  2. We're all going through the same door at the end, be it months, years or decades apart.
  3. I think if she's a Thai bride you should be OK.
  4. While it's true that many UK terrorists are probably home grown, by pure mathematics the more people you let in the country the more people who could decide they want to be terrorists. Especially if they're coming from certain countries. Ireland, Syria to name but two. The EU freedom of movement could let dangerous people in.
  5. I live in the city centre and this thing is open until at least 10pm, that's the latest I've been past it and it's been operating. I think the huge ferris wheel years ago was much better, but hey people seem to be enjoying it and whenever I go by it there are quite a lot of people looking up and filming the ride.
  6. So where would be a better place for the bus station? Practically speaking, you can't just go and demolish a load of buildings because it would be better further into the centre. I agree it's in a pretty poor place, but where else could it go? It's a large area.
  7. What do you expect, Iceland is a magnet for undesirables. As for the OAPs, maybe walk around with an air raid siren blasting out your phone, they'll instinctively hit the floor.
  8. "This is pretty much your final warning: If you have a Kindle, you need to update it before March 22 or it's going to lose Internet connectivity. That, just to be clear, would be very bad, because without the update you'll no longer be able to access the Kindle Store or sync your device with the cloud, not to mention any other Kindle services you might be using." If you're like me and didn't update before March 22nd then it's already too late and you'll have to update your Kindle manually or you will not be able to use your Kindle's WiFi. It's not a massive problem to do it manually but might be a brain ache for those not into computers. Below is a link to instructions on how to update your Kindle manually. If you have a Kindle Paperwhite 5th Generation (2012) or previous and it hasn't updated, you will not be able to access the kindle store, or any online service without updating. http://www.cnet.com/news/amazon-kindle-update-march-22/
  9. What extra barriers do they face? It's 2016. It's about time everyone should be on a level playing field.
  10. Those of you who use Supertram on a regular basis may have noticed that they have replaced their perfectly simple journey planning tool with something stupidly fiddly and complicated. I can't find this link anywhere else on the net and only have it because I bookmarked it before and it still works for now, so I'm posting it in case anybody else wanted the much simpler method of journey planner. I guess it will work until they change the timetables. Cheers. http://planner.supertram.net/default.aspx - old version http://www.supertram.com/journeyplanner.html - horrible new version
  11. News outlets are just reporting on how these groups self identify. If a man wants to be called a woman they call him a woman, if a woman wants to be called a man they call her a man, if a religious extremist identifies as a Muslim then they are a Muslim. By definition. He believes and follows the Qur'an as HE interprets it. If someone else interprets it differently they can be called a Muslim also of they want.
  12. There are a few exceptions but these e-begging campaigns in the UK are annoying because last time I checked the NHS was free.
  13. Boy racer types like to scream up and down through Dore because of the long straight roads, other than that it's fine.
  14. Swings and roundabouts, I applied for a SCC job and there was a box to tick which guarantees you an interview if you're disabled. So I guess they're guilty of more than one kind of discrimination.
  15. Next time I'll nip down and have a proper listen. I don't know if she's deranged though, mentally. Its more like a one woman protest but I was always concerned she'd shout at me if I went down.
  16. There is a woman who stands outside the Cathedral at least once a week and she just screams nonsense at it, at the building itself. Now I'm quite high up so I can't hear exactly what she's on about, maybe something about the royal family? Anyone know what her problem is?
  17. Yeah but why is it showing category A, aren't you supposed to take a motorbike test to be allowed to drive that?
  18. So I've never done a motorbike test or a CBT or anything but this is a picture of my license http://imgur.com/xJWbOAu and the A category is filled in, so what's going in with that, what does that mean? Cheers.
  19. When people at the supermarket wait until the cashier tells them the amount to get their purse out, as if it's a surprise they were going to have to pay.
  20. Parkour is the art of running away and is the passtime of neckbeards. M'lady.
  21. I'm guessing it's a psychological trick, they ask for 7p to make you feel sorry for them that they're not being so greedy as to ask for more, so you're perhaps more willing to give him more money like 50p or a quid or summat. I've never given homeless money I think because I live in the centre I see them every day and I'm more inclined to their tricks. Other week though against my better judgement I was inebriated and this guy outside McDonalds about 11pm I asked him if he wanted a drink expecting him to say a tea or coffee or summat, no, I **** you not he asked for these specialty lattes with vanilla and the lot, unbelievable. Does anyone know the story of the woman who sits in the doorway of the closed GT News on high Street? She sits there all day rain or shine, never asks for money but she looks strangely affluent in a way
  22. I can hear a load of people chanting but can't quite make out what they're saying, don't want to head on to fargate if its like an EDL rally or summat. Anyone know what it is? Sounding maybe around Town Hall? I'm at cathedral.
  23. I was actually down London the other day walking past the palace and I saw her and I said alright Madge you alright? She went "Aye just watching some Sheffield Live on Freeview with Parker Bowles, DJ Cardiac is dropping some bad numbers" So there you have it.
  24. Sorry for the bump but I was looking for the name of this tune also, cheers.
  25. I got one of the Red5 ones, I paid £20 for mine cause the box was ripped. I assume it's the same as Google Cardboard but a little more stable. Personally I feel it's a bit of a gimmicky tech demo thing right now. All I want to do is lay back and watch Netflix right in front of my face which I don't think is possible right now because nobody has an app that splits the screen. There are a few YouTube apps out there that split the screen but, the only decent one I've come across is about £5 which I'm not willing to law down on an app with only a few reviews.
