  1. Just collect le cruiset mugs and have nicer mugs and more cupboard space.
  2. Children screaming, running around in TK Max knocking stuff over and the parent just completely ignoring it.
  3. I think you'll be a lot happier if you purge the crap, having too much useless junk around somehow stresses out the brain. Think to yourself, if I didn't have this...would I go out and buy it? If not get rid.
  4. You need to keep the receipt, it does state that on the card, then if the machine fails to read the card then they accept the receipt as long as it matches with the card number.
  5. AFP Sheffield hires out small vans from £40, so if you can't find a car use them. Don't have to be 25.
  6. Yes I think the actual incident happened on Stanley Street because the police are still outside the pool hall as I write this so I'm guessing it was in there. Wicker Lane was also closed off and as I came home from my own night out around 3:30am I wasn't allowed in my flat because I live above the pool hall and obviously it was a crime scene. Allowed in at about 5:30am but not allowed out until about 6pm when the police cordon was partially lifted. I don't feel particularity unsafe in this area though, in my experience in general around here if you keep yourself to yourself you're unlikely to be involved in trouble. I think a lot of the hate stems from racism, I'm white and the majority of the people who live in or visit this area are foreign, but it seems to have the same proportion of bad eggs as any predominantly white area. I lived in the city centre last year for a year and have lived on the wicker for about a year so I feel like I'm qualified to say that I think the wicker is safer than the centre especially at night.
  7. Let's be honest 90% of the time it's OAPs, their hearing is bad so they think they're talking quieter than they actually are.
  8. I know where they have them but they have superficial damage to the box
  9. Lived in the Gladstone buildings last year, as far as I remember they only ring for considerable lengths of time on Sunday and (I think) Thursday evening when the bell ringers practise. It does get easier, soon it won't bother you so much.
  10. Walking on Waingate yesterday I saw that what was previously an opticians is being made into an "Off licence convenience store". As an alcoholic this is pretty exciting news for me. Does anybody have any information on this, when is it opening, will it be 24/7 etc.
  11. Or do they just get assigned a random route in Sheffield at the start of the day?
  12. People don't trust tradesmen. Who decides what is a 'large project'? They'll claim it's changing a lightbulb.
  13. I apologise if I'm missing something here but didn't this happen in Canada? What's it got to do with the president of a completely different country?
  14. I work in Meadowhall but I have no cause to go to that end of the mall so I didn't know it had closed. I never really used it but it does seem like a shame, even though it is kind of strange and random to have a nut shop in a multi million pound shopping mall. I wonder what it will be replaced by.
  15. Does anyone know the personal rate for this gym like, is it a normal pay-monthly type gym?
  16. I used to live in the student accommodation ay central quay. I once had some little rascal try to snatch my phone, lucky I held on to it well, apart from that one situation in one and a half years it was pretty uneventful, and with a tram right there it's a pretty good area.
  17. I think it's all about intent...it's the balance between, 'I didn't mean to kill someone' and 'I may have done something which may have contributed to this person's death'. If it was a genuine accident then nobody is to blame, it is just that, an accident. Sometimes in life, this is what the police don't understand, that sometimes nobody is to blame.
  18. Can I ask you all oldies something, sincerely...is it better that you can now contact your fancy bit any time anywhere, or was it better just using a phonebox? Very curious.
  19. They've got a premium space just of the High Street, presuming they own it they could earn a bunch just selling their offices. Newsprint is dead.
  20. Asian weddings. Don't diss them, they spend literally thousands of pounds on those suits and commission is 5%.
  21. It's not free though, somebody has to pay for it and that's both the parents who pay for school meals and the council who pay for meals for families on the dole. If I was a parent I wouldn't be wanting to pay for the dinner lady's lunch lol. Maybe that's the reason school dinners are so expensive.
  22. Postal sorting Offices have people who's job it is to make sure letters without proper addresses get to the right place, they deal with all sorts from unintelligible handwriting to no address at all, apparently they can usually find the right recipient. I think you have more than enough information, just put the name of the recipient the road name and the postcode you'll they'll get it there.
  23. Check Craigslist and Gumtree etc, some people will do anything to make a bit of money including trying to sell sometime someone's lost heart monitor.
  24. Theme tunes and credits are one of my bug bears. I don't care about the same theme played every episode, and I care about as much about who operated the camera, or who was the associate producer as I care about who made the meal deal sandwich I buy at lunchtime. Don't bore me with either. I'd rather have 30-45 seconds more story.
