Sheffield Slings - we share our strengths and muddle through the rest together.... We are a group of Sheffield parents who have been brought together through our love of carrying our children in slings, and have pooled our collective knowledge of parenting in a forum open to all. Join us to share your own experiences and the resources you have found, to seek advice and reassurance, or just to have fun and make friends. None of us are experts in anything, any parenting style and choice is valid, all opinions and discussions welcome. Oh, and we LOOOVE slings!
We arrange informal meetings all over the city, in parks on warm days, at public events etc, aiming to make sling use more visible in Sheffield, being encouraging to one another and having fun together. Members are most welcome to ask questions about anything, make suggestions for meetings and create events, and attend all, some or no gatherings at all!
For International Babywearing Week we have organised some fab events which are open to anyone- a family walk from Endcliffe Park to 3 Forge Dam on Sun Oct 7th at 10:30, a special visit to Chesterfield Sling Library's 1st birthday party on Wed 10th Oct at 1pm, and a cafe and (hopefully) picnic at Graves animal farm on Friday 12th Oct at 10am. Details and more information are on our Facebook page (see signature below). We would love to welcome new members to any of our events- and are always happy to chat if you see us in the street!
