Usually, find at our Health Centre that if they say no appointments available if you say, ok I will go down to the walk-in center, an appointment magically appears out of nowhere. Been told its because the walk-in centre bill them for your visit, don't know how true it is. -
Don't forget even after you have being on a speed awareness course it now has to be reported to your car insurer, otherwise it can invalidate your insurance when making a claim.

If the battery is fully charged and it struggles to turn over, check the earth strap between engine and bodywork it may have corroded and broken if the cars been stood all that time. -
AA / RAC patrol.. tell me what itโs like?
therascal replied to GRUSS's topic in General Discussions
Think one of the problems with this job is the distance you could have to travel between jobs. Example: once broke down near Towsure phoned the AA and waited and waited and waited, when he arrived he said he had just driven from near Bradford to attend my breakdown. If you can stand working in the rain and snow it shouldnt be a problem to you. -

Private Parking Ticket Megathread (Part 2)
therascal replied to kirkbylad's topic in General Discussions
I was always under the impression that your personal data held on a computer by anyone could not be passed on to any other third party without your consent (internal gov use exluded). What ever happened to the Data Protection Act, it seems to me the DVLA are acting unlawfully by passing your details to other companies without your consent. They're just using the details as a cash cow. -
And do not forget you need the correct insurance to cover you to do this or you will be in serious trouble. Insurance company have to be notified of what you will be using the car for.

Disabled parking in Berkeley Precinct
therascal replied to Eater Sundae's topic in Sheffield News & Discussions
Same parking hours as a normal car. As the carpark is camera controlled for the issue of a parking charge it issues any vehicle that overstays the time limit with a parking charge, irrespective of blue badge or not. -

SORN, Can I drive to garage for MOT repairs?
therascal replied to poppet2's topic in General Discussions
;; Must be a mot testing station when the car is sorned. Quute from Government web site:: Can I drive if my car has a SORN? No. The only exception is that you can drive it to a pre-booked MOT. If the police stop you on the way, you need to prove that you're going to the MOT. -

In 1988 the queen stripped champion jockey Lester Piggott of his OBE after he was jailed for tax evasion. Can we expect her to have the decency to abdicate or even go one better and see her jailed like Piggott was . I have never been anti monarchy but after recent quotes by Prince William regarding there being too many people in the world while he still keeps reproducing offspring for the people of this country to upkeep in later years my opinions are now on the change. -
I'm a bit dumb I'm afraid, but why is that.? I can see four possible answers to your question in Davens post, which part of his post do you need him to answer, Why is that.

Lets face it some of the threads started on here are just beyond belief. It really does make you wonder the mentality of some of the users.

So once again money rears its ugly head. The cafe on A floor is being closed and premises least to Costa Coffee. The cafe an institution that's been run by volunteers for a long long time, profits along with other money raised by the other voluntary groups in the hospital ploughed back into the buying of hospital equipment. I for one will not be using it when Costa takes over and I hope many others who visit the hospital will be in the same frame of mind as I am. We know what a state the N.H.S. is in and money has to be found, but when it comes to taking away a service that the volunteers have provided for so long really hits below the belt. Are Costa going to plough back any profits into the buying of hospital equipment somehow I don't think so?

Go have a look on youtube, toothpaste seems to do well. Using a drill you need to be careful too higher speed and it melts your lens.

Well, there's the proof, you just cannot educate cyclists. Pavement or road makes no difference at all to them.
