These are the ones that should be stopped. Who knows what dodgy stuff they might be selling, and they probably arent storing it safely putting neighbours & public at risk. There might be rules and regulations in place and maybe temporary licences required but many wont bother with all that faff knowing they can make their money and shut down before they are caught. They are probably also the ones selling to kids through the back door

I'm not up for banning the sale of fireworks, but if they could only be sold from specialist firework retailers (like Epic at Tankersley) a lot less would end up in the hands of the types that cause problems as they'd have to make a special trip, rather than just picking up a pack of rockets along with a crate of Stella.

Houses are re-assessed for council tax purposes every so often so they may well move up the bands and pay more.
With regards slave labour- there are places to report suspicions of modern day slavery.
Out of interest what area is it?

I rarely agree with the big fish Halibut, but I have to on this point- Its perfectly possible.
I read a book by an (ex) ISIS terrorist. He was perfectly sane but just had different beliefs/ideologies to 'our western' ones. Many of the 'successful' terrorists (eg those involved in 911) are/were very sane & intelligent people..winners if you like. They are chosen for their tasks for this very reason. If they had taken a different path in life they would probably have been captains of industry / political leaders etc.

These houses will no longer be affordable when they move and the council tax will be horrendous. Why has this been allowed?
It bothers you that house prices might be rising in your area?

Its always worth buying- but at the right price

Its how communal charges work! You'll also contribute equally to a new roof at some point even though the leaks probably wont affect you

Selling over priced drinks in plastic 'glasses' in a tacky themed temporary shed sucking money from the permanent local establishments. What's not to like?!

If that were true could it not still be racist?
A 'whites only' bus policy would be excluding a number of races

Nothing to see here. Move on. 😁
If you are restricting who can attend, based on race, it is a racist admission policy. That's a simple fact. Whether its reasonable in the circumstances or not is another issue

Any news on this? Decision seems to be taking a while

Without parking meters those spaces would be filled long before shoppers got near them.
Correct- local councils have nothing to do with rates other than collecting the money. Rateable value is linked to market rental values, and the sum actually payable is determined by the government.
I was surprised Hays took all the shops. Cant see them lasting long.

They should sue the landlord

Personally I'd stay clear of new builds. The quality is generally poor (apart from in the show home), the plots tiny, you're unlikely to see its price rise for a long time, and you generally cant add any value by improving or extending.

I've had no problems with Mira showers. I had a Mira Sport Max 10.8KW . Very good flow rate for an electric shower- but needs the thick cable.

Does this place still do good home made steak pies?

Hopefully the development will require the installation of a set of traffic lights. There isnt enough along that stretch..

Buck Rogers and Star Treck is never going to be reality. This planet "Earth" is where the entirety of the story of Homo Sapiens is going to be acted out. From emergence to extinction. We will be very lucky if humans finish up existing one tenth of the duration of the dinosaurs. Most species are but a blink of an eye to this planet.
Well put. Which is why I think wasting time and effort and resources on space travel/tourism benefits nobody but those employed by it or making money from it.

Its not too bad unless youre a young newly qualified driver or have made recent claims. I pay about £280 a year. How does that compare with Canada?

Probably more because a bit of fresh fruit doesnt hold the same attraction these days being easily available all year round. Likewise they probably wouldnt appreciate getting an orange wrapped up in their Christmas stocking!

Given the issues of climate change which appears to be becoming an emergency, is it time for all countries to put space exploration on hold and ban the development of space tourism? It seems a little extravagant and a total waste of our earths resources.
Also, how about ban business class air travel & just fit as many seats on a plane as is safe?
The Myth That Poverty Is The Main Cause Obesity

I agree it's laziness mainly. Ignorance is no excuse these days.. And if kids are fat its generally the parents fault.
If you're a parent of an obese child reading this, be assured that your child will get bullied because they are obese and you are party to the situation.
