The American singer will be doing a handful of exclusive UK dates to promote the album release - London, Birmingham, Manchester and this Leeds concert at The Wardrobe. Support comes from UK jazz-funk keyboard maestro Dan Goldman and his JD73 ElecTrio. For all of those that don't know a little bit about what to expect.... Jazz sensibility with future dancefloor orientated grooves, deep funk, tough drums and tropical rhythms. Will Holland is one of the most talented and prolific artists in the world of alternative dance music today. Recording under various guises, Will first found acclaim as Quantic. As well as Quantic and the Quantic Soul Orchestra Will is one half of The Limp Twins, a duo he formed with Russell Porter. Initially a deejay partnership, it wasn’t long before they started recording, with Russell taking on the vocal duties and Will adding the magic with his savvy production. He has enjoyed consistent success with his Quantic moniker, releasing his first album, The 5th Exotic in the summer of 2001. It was picked up on by some of the most respected names in underground music. Richard Dorfmiester, Mr Scruff and LTJ Bukem all rated it very highly, not surprising when tunes like “Common Knowledge” and the near classic “Life in the Rain” had blazed across dance floors all over Europe. With elements of Jazz, Funk and Afro blended with tight breaks and Will’s distinctive production, ‘The 5th Exotic’ proved irresistible and won him many plaudits. A truely inspiring man for anyone who loves music...so come on down and party with Quantic and The Forum. In support, sheffield's own PHUTURE MOTION (Freestyle Recordings) ahead of their debut album "The Thief" being released in 2010.

In 2007, Grandmaster Flash and the Furious Five were the first hiphop outfit to be given a Lifetime Achievement Award at the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Museum! Kurtis Blow was one of the first New York rappers to break into the mainstream in the late 1970s, managed by Russell Simmons (later of Def Jam Records), and backed by DJ Run (of Run-DMC fame). His first release "Christmas Rappin" was a minor hit but it was his second release "The Breaks" which reached the charts and had him appearing on US TV on "Soul Train" as well as opening shows in New York for Bob Marley and The Clash. In 1985, his track "If I Ruled The World" was used in the hiphop movie "Krush Groove", and the melody would be used later in 1996 by NAS (with Lauryn Hill) on his own multi-million selling track of the same name.....
