  1. Any new recommendations? Need it for a fairly new wooden floor ruined by tenants :/
  2. I know that's how they work and I know that they charge L/L as well. Luckily, I do not need to use letting agents on either side, I rent properties out myself but that particular one was for a friend who doesn't have spare cash to be spending on unnecessary fees. I would understand £50, £100 even, but £250!!!! That's way too much. Anyway, it was just me being nosey. Nothing better to do on bank holiday weekend, that's all
  3. There's been a few threads ranting on about how expensive admin fees can be, but I could not find many examples of how much Letting Agents actually charge. I nearly had a heart attack when I hear that Moss Properties charge £125 reference check fee and £125 admin charge. You would would have to pay £250 for a house with a rent of £500! I have seriously considered complaining to Ombudsman about excessive fees but then up that idea. It would not change anything, so what's the point getting upset?
  4. I noticed that while some allotment sites have long waiting lists, there have been places available at corker bottom site since March. Is there anything wrong with them, or is it simply because people around the estate have no interest in gardening? Have there been any such issues reported , theft, anti social behaviour or the like? I've recently applied for an allotment there so chances are I'm gonna get it. Will I be disappointment?
  5. Apart from the right notice, you do not have to leave unless the landlord has obtained a court order for posession, and to do that, they need to prove they have given you the right notice. But that's up to you , really, if you want to make things easy or difficult for both of you. Regards, Monica
